Chereads / MY SECOND CHANCE IN LIFE IN ANOTHER WORLD (VERSION 1) / Chapter 69 - CHAPTER 70: SHATTERED BONDS

Chapter 69 - CHAPTER 70: SHATTERED BONDS

"Get the fuck out of here or do you want to die?" I said with a piercing look at Alad.

"Well, well, calm down, little hero. I'm not here to fight," Alad said, his smile still intact.

"Is that a proper way to talk to your senior? I'm disappointed in you, Will," Leonardo said with a disappointed face.

"Mr. Leonardo, did you know that this guy is the one responsible for all of what happened? He's the reason why I am in the clinic with all these wounds," I explained to Leonardo.

"I know everything. He told me everything, and that's why we're here," Leonardo said.

"I'm here to apologize. I did all of that to avoid suspicion from other fighting ground members," Alad said, bowing down to me.

What the hell is this guy saying?

"I had to hold that event so every fighting ground member is present, and we can capture all of them. I'm sorry I used you and even hurt you. Please forgive me," Alad said, still bowing down.

"What the fuck are you saying? Is that the story you told them? And they believe that kind of bullshit?" I asked, shouting.

I cannot control my feelings anymore and was about to stand up to punch Alad when Fia stopped me.

"Will, calm down," Fia said.

"So even you, Ms. Fia, believe this bastard?" I asked.

"It's not that I believe him or not. All I want is for you to calm down so we can talk calmly," Fia answered.

What the hell is this girl saying?

"So you believe him after all?" I shouted.

"Huh? What are you saying? Didn't I just say to calm down?" Fia said.

"Because if you don't believe him, then there's no need to talk. That bastard just started a mess, kidnapped me and Crestia, tortured me, made me fight fifty people without rest, stabbed my left leg, sent my friends to the battlefield, and you want me to calm down?" I continued shouting.

"Will..." Fia said.

"That's enough. Any more than that, and you'll get what you want," Leonardo threatened me.

"And do you think I'm afraid of you?" I asked.

"You brat!" Leonardo was about to unsheathe his sword.

"Stop! Leonardo, don't do it," Fia said.

"Fia, but... I'm sorry. I lost my composure," Leonardo said before returning his sword to its sheath.

"Alad, I'll ask you something, so answer me with sincerity. Is what Will just said all true?" Leonardo asked Alad.

"Maybe because he just woke up, so his memory was a bit jumbled, but all that I told you before is the truth, and anything he said is not true," Alad said with a serious face.

"You heard him. I don't think he's lying," Leonardo said.

"With just that? You believe him? Are you and your father the same? Are you both idiots?" I said, but before I could finish, his sword was already pointing at my neck.

"Didn't I say it before? I can take you insulting me, but don't involve my father," Leonardo said with a look full of bloodlust.

"Leonardo! Stop it!" Fia said.

"I'm sorry, Fia, but Will went too far," Leonardo said.

"Apologize, apologize to my father, to Alad, to me, and Fia, and I'll spare you," he added.

"Then why don't you kill me? Is that your solution every time someone goes against you? When what they're saying is the truth and you can't accept it?" I asked.

"You've asked for it." Leonardo was about to behead me.

"Rock bullet!" Fia shouted, and Leonardo's sword fell to the ground.

"What are you doing, Fia?" Leonardo asked.

"I'm sorry, but I believe Will," Fia said, prepared to cast another spell if Leonardo made a move.

"Huh? Do you actually believe the nonsense he's spouting?" Leonardo asked.

"Didn't you see? He was ready to die rather than accept Alad's lie. Is there any liar who can do that?" Fia asked.

"You're blindly believing in him. There's no proof that what he's saying is the truth," Leonardo said.

"Then isn't that the same thing with you?" Fia asked.

"What?" Leonardo asked.

"You're blindly believing everything Alad said. There's no proof what he's saying is the truth, right?" Fia said.

"But... I trusted Alad!" Leonardo said.

"And I trust Will," Fia declared.

"Why? Why do you believe that brat? What's so good about him? Why do you blindly believe in him?" Leonardo bombarded Fia with questions.

"Leonardo, I thought you were better than this. It seems like I overestimated you," Fia said with a cold look.

"Huh?" Leonardo said with a face as if everything ends for him.

"Hmmm, can I interrupt your lively conversation?" said a man who suddenly appeared in front of the door.

"Hans," Fia murmured with a serious face.

"No, no, I didn't come to join you. I just have a message for that patient over there," Hans said, pointing at me.

What message is he talking about?

"Come to the principal's office, ordered by the principal. That's all. Goodbye!" Hans said before leaving.

"Principal's office?" I murmured.

What does that damn principal want with me?

"Leonardo, what did you do?" Fia asked Leonardo with a piercing gaze.

"N-no, I didn't do anything," Leonardo answered.

Based on his look, he's not lying.

"Will, what are you going to do?" Fia asked.

"I also want to talk to him after all. I'll go," I answered.

"Then I'll join you," Fia said with a serious look.

"Thank you," I said before standing up.

When I finally stand up, my whole body was screaming with pain. When I tried to walk, my left leg, which was stabbed by Alad, suddenly felt an unimaginable pain, and I fell on the floor.

"Will!" Fia said worriedly.

"I'm okay; I just can't move my left leg, which is stabbed by that bastard," I said, looking at Alad, who's standing behind Leonardo.

"Do you want me to carry you?" Fia asked.

"No need, please just get me a crutch," I said, and Fia immediately went outside to get a crutch, but before that, she left a word.

"If you do anything to Will, I'll kill you," she said before leaving.

It seems like the

threat of the top one elite magician works on both of them.

"Alad, you can leave now; I'll accompany them to Father," Leonardo said.

"I understand," Alad said before leaving. But before he went out, he looked at me and smiled, as if saying he won.

This bastard! Just you wait; you'll regret this. I'll get my revenge.

After that, Fia came back with crutches and gave them to me.

"They didn't do anything, right?" Fia asked.

"That's right," I answered.

"Thank god; I don't have to fight them," Fia said.

"Thank you, Ms. Fia, and sorry for shouting at you earlier," I said.

"You're welcome, and don't mind it; if you didn't do it, then maybe I got fooled by Alad too," she said with a big smile on her face.

Seeing that, Leonardo made an unpleasant face while watching us.

And here I am going out of my way to try getting the two of them together, and after all of that, you'll just believe Alad? Then die out of jealousy.

After that, Fia and I head towards the principal's office, with Leonardo following us.
