After giving some more advices, I walked downstairs. I saw Mike, he was stealing pancakes. He stuffed them in his pockets. He saw me, staring at him, so he nodded with a determined expression. I couldn't understand why he did that. But I still nodded.
Sitting down, I arranged my plate on the table. Karen smiled and wished me, so did Nancy. Ted, like always was silent, eating by himself. Sometimes I felt as if he was probably a villain or something. But I ignored this feeling of mine. Well, there was no such thing in the series, so this feeling was probably me overestimating Ted's abilities.
Mike soon reached the table. And like always, he decided to fight with Nancy. This time the fight started because Nancy called Mike disgusting. Truth be told, he was indeed disgusting. He was gobbling up the pancakes. And according to me, disgusting wasn't the worst possible adjective. I could have come with more worse ones.
Anyways, Karen stopped their fight like always, with me supporting her if the fight would still break out. And Ted, well.. He did what he always does. Ignore the fight and continue eating. Sometimes I feel like I should punch on his face, and break his jaws.
The fight was already over and I had finished eating, so I walked upstairs to my room. Just when I was about to open the door to my room, I heard static sounds. Those sounds came from that table-tent, where I had left Eleven. I remembered that Dustin had given me a communicator like the others had. And the static was probably from the communicator itself. Lifting the sheets, I entered inside. Obviously the door to my room was closed, so no one would hear us. Moreover the Wheelers atleast had basic manners. They won't barge in other's room. They would knock the door at first. Eleven smiled when she saw me, but she continued playing with the communicator, while I sat down beside her.
She asked me after some more of tinkering with the communicator, "What is this?" I smiled and replied, "Walkie-Talkie or you can call it communicator. This is used for talking with others. Her eyes widened in surprise when she heard this. She had been living in Hawkins Lab, and she had seen many instruments. But she had never seen one like this.
Eleven asked curiously, "How far can I talk with this comm-unicator?" I didn't correct her pronounciation, and instead replied, "Not quite far away. Moreover i don't use it at all. Mike uses his, to talk with Lucas and Will. But he talks to Lucas more, since his house is closer than Will's. " Eleven had a confused expression when I finished replying to her.
She asked me, "Who is Will?" I replied, while rubbing her head, "Will is a friend. He got lost. Mike and the others, were looking for him when they met you. I was just looking for Mike and the other two, when I met you. "
Eleven's face paled when she heard my words. I had a guess what was going on inside her mind.
Since I had seen this series in my previous life, I knew that it was Eleven who had released the monster from the Upside-down. Though it was actually the fault of the Benner guy, the human villain of the series. If not for him, the monster from the Upside-down would never be released out of that dimension.
So I didn't blame her. It was probably something like we would hate her, if we know that she was the one to release the monster, who had captured Will. She just told me that she knew where Will was. I nodded, and we were going to talk more, when Mike came in barging into my room, and then locking the door. Eleven was a little frightened by this, so she grabbed the corner of my shirt, which probably calmed her down.
Mike had that weird expression on his face, when he saw us. I didn't mind him anyway. As long as he doesn't have any plans related to El. Although in the series, Eleven became his girlfriend, but this wasn't the OG universe. And I would never give up on El anyway. Call me possesive.
Mike gave Eleven the pancakes, he had stolen from downstairs before Breakfast. Eleven was reluctant to take those and eat them. But I nodded to her, then she took the pancakes from Mike's hands and started eating them.
I looked at Mike and said, "I asked you to come early. You are late. And also, stop fighting with Nancy. You are acting like a kid, with a stick up in your ass. "
He muttered something like I was always taking Nancy's side. I just ignored his words. And continued to see Eleven, who was eating pancake as if it was one of the most delicious thing she had ever eaten.
That's when Mike said, "It might sound wrong. But I want you to go out of the house. Then go to the front door. We would make sure that it is my Mom who opens the door. Once she opens it, you just have to say that you are lost and want to go home. She would know who to call. "
Eleven said a simple word, "No. " Mike didn't expect this, and asked, "Sorry, what?" She repeated again, "No. "
She was frightened. So I asked, "You are in trouble, aren't you?" It was more like a statement, instead of question. She nodded when she heard my words. Mike asked, "Who? I mean who are you in trouble with?"
To this, El replied, "Bad. " I added, "People. She is talking about bad people. "
Mike asked, "How bad?" To which, El made a gun by her hand and first pointed it at her temple. Then at mine and then at Mike. Then she said, "Very Bad. "
Mike got silent when he heard this. I said, "Well, if what she said is true, then it would be better if we don't say about her to anyone else. At least not for now. We would just cause others to be in danger. " Mike nodded.
