Chapter 36 - Fog

The area around her was a fog, she couldn't make out anything, but Alessia kept walking. Where was she? Her mind is drawing a blank. She doesn't remember anything. A small flame shines like a beacon as she keeps moving forward and finds herself at some alter. As Alessia approached the altar, she felt a strange pull to close the flame. It was as if it was calling to her, beckoning her to come closer. She couldn't resist its lure; before she knew it, she stood right before it.

The flame seemed to dance and flicker, casting strange shadows across the altar. Alessia couldn't take her eyes off it, mesmerized by its movements. Suddenly, she heard a whisper in her ear, sending shivers down her spine.

"Welcome, Alessia," the voice said. "We have been waiting for you."

Alessia spun around, but there was no one there. She was alone in the fog, with only the flame for company. She turned back to the altar, feeling a sense of unease wash over her.
