Chapter 21 - The Little Red Riding Hood

Chapter 21: The Little Red Riding Hood

The next hunt was about to begin!

It was about time too!

First and foremost: Maleva had been summoned to the town's hall relatively early in the morning. Probably much earlier than needed, but that was beside the point.

Here, at town hall, she met the head of the town of Cherrywood.

Who was she?

While she assumed the role of mayor for the small town, she was more recognized as the head huntress of Cherrywood. And to be honest, she was the only huntress in town with Maleva. Then, Michael would have been considered the third hunter, but this was about it for the people of Cherrywood who could actually hunt.

"Did it really have to be this early?" Maleva asked the head of Cherrywood, scratching her eyes because she was so tired.

Michael was here as well. He stood behind Maleva. Just as exhausted as she was. The hunter's hair was all messed up and spiking in the air. This was not great, but he hadn't taken any time to look at himself in the mirror first before heading out. Thankfully, his right eye was still covered by his long hair, which made him cute and handsome. Especially to most girls and women he met, including Maleva, Lycanna, and other ladies he encountered every day in town. It was fair to say that most girls found him adorable, yet, he wished to be taken a bit more seriously. He should have been taken more seriously because of his cursed and bestial nature, but no one knew that he was a wolf, so that didn't help him to be taken seriously at all.

"Um… I see that you brought your boyfriend with you…" The chief huntress of Cherrywood soon noticed the young man behind her.

The older woman was in her early forties.

She had bright green eyes. Long, orange-brown hair with large bangs.

She was a perfect MILF in all the ways imaginable.

Breasts were even larger than Maleva's. Michael had no idea that was even possible in the first place. A thick buttery ass. Wide hips and thick thighs.

What? Does she think I'm her boyfriend?

"He's not my boyfriend! This is not what you think!" Maleva was in full panic mode now.

"Then, why do you follow him everywhere you go and vice-versa?" the chief huntress pointed out to her.

"Um… This is not exactly it…" Michael desperately attempted to calm things down, but this was all in vain.

"Well, I think the two of you make for a formidable couple!" the chief huntress gave her opinion on the matter as she smiled. She was so happy for the two of them

"Mom! I swear to God! Don't talk about stuff you don't understand!" Maleva nearly burst into a million pieces she was blushing so much. It was at that moment that she revealed an important piece of information Michael had no idea about…

Mom? This is her mother? Michael realized it a bit too late. Now that he looked at her with different eyes, he could now finally see that this woman looked a lot like Maleva.

"She's your mom?" Michael asked Maleva, marvelously shocked.

"Yeah. So, what?" Maleva turned to Michael Redheart.

"Alright, alright, I won't keep talking about your couple, Mal. I understand this is your social life and not mine. So, let's get back to the important topic at hand—the reason why I woke the both of you so early this morning!"

"Yes, mother. Please tell us what this important mission is going to be about and what we'll need to accomplish on this hunt…" Maleva was dying to know.

"A mission?" Michael asked.

I thought it was going to be a normal hunt. But now it's a mission? What does that even mean? The young man asked himself.

It was pure silence for a long time in the room as they waited for her instructions…

What was this important mission all about…?

"So… Would you mind taking this cake and this bottle of wine to your grandma out of town for me, dear?" Maleva's mother politely and sweetly asked her.

 Another silence followed…

Maleva's jaw dropped!

Michael's did too…

This is her important mission? Michael asked himself.

"Mom… Did you wake us up this early for something like that? It's not even four in the morning yet. And I thought this was going to be an important mission. What happened to the important mission?" Maleva questioned her own mother as she questioned her.

"This is your important mission…" she repeated to her.

"This isn't so bad… We should be back soon, right…?" Michael still found some positive in having to do this mundane task for her mother.

"I'm sure you'll do great! Thank you so much, guys!"

"Hold up! Wait a minute there, Mom! I thought that you were going to ask us to do something related to the Moonlit Sins or something like that! I thought you had located one of the sins!" Maleva fully revealed what she had originally expected of her. Her hopes and dreams!

Wait… What? Mal just spoke out loud about the sins! So, that must mean that her mom knows about them, too? Wait a minute! This just crossed my mind! Mal is a pure-blood werewolf, so that also means that… Her mom is also a werewolf! Another pure-blood wolf! Michael finally realized the gravity of the situation!

"Not yet, dear. I'll let you know when I locate another sin like you," her mother casually told her, smiling the entire time she spoke to her.

"It better be soon! I've waited years for this! I just desperately want to find another sin like me!" Maleva shouted out loud in the room. Her voice echoing and bouncing back off the walls.

"In time. It'll be soon. I'm sure of it. There. Take this," her mother handed her a cute red basket.

Maleva was just about to reluctantly accept it and take it when—

I should be the one to hold it for her! Michael thought at the last second.

He swiftly took the basket off of the mother's hands before Maleva ever could.

"Um?" Maleva had no idea why he did this.

"I should be the one holding it for you, Mal," Michael insisted.

"Oh! Such a gallant young man! I love it!" the chief huntress blushed. She began liking it even more already.

"Whatever. We should go now. See you later, mom!" Maleva spun around and left with her childhood friend.

"Oh! Mal! I almost forgot this…"

They stopped.

Turned around.

Her mother handed something else to her: Clothes. They were a red hood and a red cape.

"It's going to be cold in the woods today, you should take this…"

"Thanks, mom…"

Maleva reluctantly accepted the hood and the cape. Taking them.

***

The chief huntress was right.

It was pretty cold once they stepped back outside.

It was freezing, in fact.

It was snowy, too.

When Maleva stepped outside with Michael, she now had the red hood and cape on.

She was adorable and sexy in this outfit. Especially with the hood up.

"Mal…"

"What?" she asked him.

"You look so beautiful in that outfit…"

She blushed. A lot.

"Let's go…" she looked away and led the way…
