Observing Nikolai take off his cloak and put it over on a cushion by the fireplace, Ophelia groaned and sat on the bed. Noticing that she was becoming lost in her thoughts, he put his hands in his pockets and gave her a piercing look.
"FireStorm." Nikolai called gently. "Are you.."
"When did you become aware that I was the target?" Ophelia immediately questioned.
"Right after we arrived at the frozen pond."
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"I waited for them to attack because I wanted to be certain. Up until the arrow was shot, I had no idea if you or I were the target.
Ophelia swallowed, wrapping her arms around her body tensely. "Do you have a scent?"
"A fire dragon." Nikolai casually answered and moved in her direction.
Ophelia pressed her lips. "Father wants me to return."
