CHAPTER 18 : The Unseen Presence

Akito woke up early the next morning, feeling a little anxious about starting his new position.

He got dressed and headed to the office, hoping that everything would go well. As he arrived, he noticed that Yuzu was already there, preparing some papers on her desk. She looked up and smiled at him as he walked by.

as he entered the sales department, he was greeted by Yuzu who was already hard at work preparing the day's paperwork. "Oh, hey. you're early today!" she said, smiling at him.

Akito gave a small smile in return, feeling a little nervous about his new position. "Yeah, I wanted to come in early and get a head start," he replied as he walked over to his desk.

He let out a small groan as he sat down and looked at the pile, wondering how he was going to get through it all, there is also a computer in front of him.

"What's this?" he muttered to himself, his eyes fixated on the stack. He began to flip through the first few pages, trying to make sense of everything and trying to understand what it was all about.

As he went through the documents, he realized that they were all related to a new marketing campaign that was about to be launched by the company.

His heart sank a little as he realized that he would have to come up with ideas and strategies to make the campaign a success

"I have no idea where to even start with this," he thought to himself, feeling a little overwhelmed.

He knew that he would have to put in a lot of effort and work hard to ensure that the campaign was a success, but he wasn't sure where to even begin...

"Is this some kind of a joke?" he muttered to himself, feeling frustrated and overwhelmed by the sheer amount of information he had to process.

But he knew he had to figure it out, no matter how long it took. He took a deep breath, picked up the next paper, and began to read.

"just like I said, you'll get over it and adapt to the work." Yuzu's voice brought him back to reality. She walked behind Akito, holding a stack of papers, ready to be delivered to the other desks.

Her voice sounded so casual as if she wasn't drowning in paperwork too. But Akito knew that Yuzu was probably just as stressed out as he was.

"yeah.. sure, sure.. hopefully" Akito responds as he scratches his head, and continues reading the stressful paperwork. he looks around his desk to find some good things to entertain himself before the day could get started.

He glanced around his desk, searching for anything that could provide a brief distraction from the endless stream of work. But there was nothing. Just more papers, and more deadlines.

Akito let out a heavy sigh and leaned back in his chair, rubbing his temples. "I can't believe how much paperwork we have to do. It's like they're trying to kill us with it," he muttered.

Yuzu chuckled, her eyes still focused on the papers in front of her. "It's just part of the job, Akito. We've got to keep the company running smoothly, after all."

he rolled his eyes. "I know, I know. But this is ridiculous. I feel like I'm drowning in all of these papers."

she glanced over at him with a sympathetic expression. "Just take it one paper at a time. We'll get through this together. It's temporary anyway!"

Akito nodded, "Yeah.. Yeah, fine."

Yuzu grinned at him. "That's what partners are for, right?"

As Akito tried to get back to his work, his attention was suddenly caught by a mysterious figure with fiery red hair walking outside their room.

His eyes fixated on the man as he watched him pass by with a small smirk on his lips. Akito couldn't shake off the eerie feeling that crept up his spine. Who was that man, and what was he doing here?

"Yuzu, did you see that?" Akito said in a hushed voice, not wanting to draw attention to himself. But Yuzu seemed oblivious to the strange man outside.

"What are you talking about, Akito?" Yuzu asked, looking at him with a confused expression.

"The man outside, the one with red hair. Did you see him?" he whispered, his eyes darting towards the door.

Yuzu stood up and took a quick peek outside, but there was no one there. "I don't see anyone, Akito. Maybe you're just tired," she said, sitting back down and resuming her work.

But he couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. He couldn't explain why, but he knew that man was important on this Business Company.

Akito stood up from his chair, feeling the weariness of his body as he did so. His eyes felt heavy and he couldn't shake off the strange feeling from earlier. He turned to face Yuzu, who was still intently focused on the pile of paperwork in front of her.

"Yeah, maybe I am tired," Akito muttered in response to Yuzu's suggestion. He couldn't deny the exhaustion that was weighing him down.

"Just head to the break room, maybe get a 2-hour nap," Yuzu suggested again, without even looking up from her work.

Akito gave a slight nod in response. He couldn't think of any other way to shake off the lethargy that was plaguing him. As he made his way towards the door, he caught a glimpse of the strange man with the red hair again. The man had a small smirk on his face as he looked back at Akito.

he couldn't help but feel a shiver run down his spine. He shook his head and tried to convince himself that it was just his imagination. However, the strange man's smirk was etched into his mind, haunting him as he made his way to the break room.

Once he reached the break room, Akito collapsed onto the couch and closed his eyes, hoping to get some rest.

"Why do I feel like that guy is the strongest one around here, I haven't seen him.." he thought to himself as he laid onto the couch, his eyes closed.

As he drifted off into a light sleep, his dreams were filled with the image of the strange man with the red hair.

Akito slowly walked down the dark hallway, the only sound he could hear was his own footsteps echoing.

He couldn't shake the feeling that he was being watched, but when he turned around, there was no one there. Suddenly, he heard a faint whisper, but he couldn't make out what it was saying.

He tried to turn back and walk the other way, but his feet wouldn't move. The whisper grew louder and more menacing. He could feel his heart beating out of his chest.

Suddenly, he was surrounded by darkness,
