LAIKA'S POV (Before the trial)
After my meeting with the General and hoping that he would hear me out I was thoroughly disappointed when he instantly shut my concerns down. He didn't even consider it for a moment.
I knew the General would be upset with Ayan as he thought she was guilty but I didn't expect him to be so completely unwilling to hear anything else. He appeared to be so consumed with rage and anger to have her killed.
I found myself at a loss for what to do. I just felt there was something strange about the whole case and he was making such a drastic decision too quickly. However, from the way he'd dismissed me, I knew he wasn't going to listen to me again.
