"Papa, it would be better that you sit beside him and learn well." Cassey pushed her father with a gentle force when he paused.
His eyes staring at the large bench she had taken. It was enough for two people to sit side by side without touching each other.
Yet, he felt a strange anticipation when he was offered to sit behind her. When she entered his room and stared at him, he felt a strange churning in his heart.
As if he had found a broken part of his puzzle. That strange desire to keep staring at her face. He had felt baffled by that and wanted to follow it. But he restrained. Not only was it strange but rude.
"Penny, the lady would be conscious." he explained when Cassey sucked in a breath.
She pulled her gown closer to her skin and made a way for him to sit comfortably beside her.
She did not raise her head or speak a word but her actions were enough to get his attention.
