Cassey stared at the changing sky. It was black just like her future but slowly it was filling with new light, giving it a new life. She touched the soft matters beneath her.
In a small village like this, she was sure it was no less than a luxury. The room was small but it was warm. They made sure that she had all the necessary things. There was a small fruit basket, a jar of water and an extra duvet to make sure that it was not cold. Suddenly she did not feel that cold.
A smile crept up her lips. How better it would be if they could stay here. They were not as bad as she had thought.
She sat up and made her bed. Then she walked out of the small house. She saw that young girl cleaning the kitchen and went to her.
"Do you work all day?" The girl jumped at her feet by the sudden voice only to remember they had a guest.
She nodded and then started sweeping the floor again.
Cassey noticed there was already soup on the small stove.
