When the carriage reached the palace, many knights came forward to check the identity of the carriage.
But they were shocked to see Cassey sitting alone in it.
"Where have you been, madam?" asked the knight in suspicion. His eyes cold and penetrating.
The woman frowned. She raised her nose high in the air and scoffed.
"Do i need to give you a reply. I have been out for some urgent work. Would you open the door now?" Cassey had never been this vocal.
She had ignored their cold remarks and given them soft replies so that they could not find fault in her.
But now she was glaring so brazenly that the knights felt shocked.
They still opened the door and the carriage went in. The maids were surprised to see Cassey walking in with a smile on her face.
"Where is the penny?" she asked as she sat on the sofa and picked up the glass of water from the table.
They all stared at her as if they had seen a ghost.
