Psyche's brows furrowed when she heard the urgent banging on the door. She sat up on her bed and stared at the dark sky. It was already past midnight.
When she remembered the injuries of Cassey she jolted awake. When the woman had returned and refused to tell them where she was, Psyche was sure something was very wrong and the knock brought an ominous feeling in her heart.
She took off the duvet and ran towards the door. But she was surprised to see Ana standing there alone in the dark and windy night.
"Oh dear. Did something happen to Cassey?" She took the young girl in but did not get closer to the door.
She offered her a chair and brought a warm blanket for her.
"Why don't you wait here and I will make a quick round to your house to see what happened?" her hands were already on the small bag of medicine as she forced a smile towards the girl.
