Grace took a deep breath as she knocked on the door. The knights recognized her once she had visited the palace several times. They looked behind her and frowned when they did not see any carriage or servants, but they let her enter immediately.
Grace's hands clenched into a tight fist as she waited in the guest room for an hour. She had asked for Baron Moore. But when the door opened after waiting for eternity, it was her son standing in front of her.
"Oh my, when guards told me if it was you, I did not believe them, Grace. Where were you from for a long time and how did you come so far?" Grace took a deep breath. Ignoring the smug look on his face, she bowed her head.
"You must have heard about the condition of my father. I am here to ask for the amount he had lent your father." The smile on the face of the young man instantly froze and he looked at Grace with glaring eyes.
But as if thinking about something, he smiled again.
