"Is that all?" Penny looked confused but Ana touched her belly with a motherly smile.
"Me and my husband had been trying for a long time. It has been a decade now. But the god had finally listened to us. I want to do anything to protect the baby. I heard near the river that your grandmother makes predictions. If it is for my child, I will do it." Ana felt guilty to use her child, but she needed this woman. She wanted to know what else this woman knew.
Penny looked worried too. Ana looked too sincere but what if her grandmother was not able to help her.
"I understand your worries, Missus Annalise. But what if my grandmother is not able to help you. If you have heard about her on the riverbank, you must have heard that many think she is not.. Well.'' She looked at her grandmother with guilt, but the old woman only smiled. She knew what her granddaughter needed to suffer because of her strange words.
