"Where is mother?" Cent scanned the room. His eyes darkened at once when he found Rowan alone. But his voice was still calm and collected.
Rowan took a deep breath. He knew that convincing Cent was not as easy as convincing Diana. The man did not take decisions by heart anymore.
"Uncle, I wanted to meet you." Cent paused. His eyes flickered and a cold smile endowed his lips.
"You were looking for me?" he nodded slowly and sat on the sofa. Folding his leg one over the other, showing his authority, he looked at Rowan with a sense of power over him. "And why is that?"
"I need your help uncle." Rowan did not beat around the bush. He knew Cent did not have that patience, "your grace needs your help for her business. She said, you are the only one who can help her. " I.." Before Rowan could complete, Cent laughed.
The laughter felt like a lead in the room, silencing Rowan. He could feel the coldness spreading in the room and the mocking eyes of Cent.
