Gerald frowned when no one replied. He walked in with a frown and noticed everything was at their place. All the prisons were locked and the prisoners were crying and screaming or asking for freedom.
He took slow steps in scanning around him with cautiousness. It was not like guards to leave their position all at once. Something must have happened.
"Roshawn! Guards.. Knights?" He called but no one responded. A few of the prisoners looked at him as if he was a fool.
"You are going to die here too. Then you will regret keeping us here." Gerald gritted his teeth but he could not deny the strange feeling in his gut. There was something wrong with this place.
"Shut up! I will kill everyone who wants to harm me before getting killed." Although he said so, his words did not hold any conviction. His hands trembled a bit and his eyes narrowed at every voice.
The men in the prison laughed as if he was enjoying the show.
