"About Vincent.. He seems to hate me." Elowen spoke out of the blue, making Ana blink.
They were in the carriage for an hour but none of them said a word. The silence was not awkward at the least. Both were lost in their own thoughts while looking out of the window.
Ana studied Elowen. She was a proud woman. It would have taken a lot of courage to accept that she was not liked.
"He thinks that you used him. Which.. You did. That is why he is furious. But he did not hate you." Ana smiled when Elowen's eyes narrowed at him.
"What made you think so?" Ana laughed amused by the foolish question.
"Because he is marrying you. He owes you nothing, ELowen. Even if my brother was filled with righteousness and wanted to save a damsel in distress, he would have sent you back to your empire with a lucrative business offer that would have helped both of you.
