"Mother please.." he pleaded when she laughed.
"Oh Rowan.. Have you learnt nothing from your mistakes?" her face filled with pity, "your words, your pleadings.. Your truth is disgusting." She ignored him and looked at other ladies.
"I was telling that…" Rowan stared hard at Ana, shocked that she felt disgusted by looking at him. He had thought that she loved him.
And now, his truth would be out. Just because she had her own child now? He felt a hand on his shoulders and looked over to see the ghost of Gabriella again.
Her eyes were glimmering with joy looking at the pathetic state of her son. Her hands still holding the dagger from earlier,
"I have told you Rowan that she doesn't love you. But you were a fool and did not believe me. Look what happened now. She is going to tell your truth to everyone." she whispered softly but Rowan could feel the sting of her words.
He felt like all the blood had frozen in his body.
