He waited for her to be angry. A princess with such a strong spine. The crude words must have hurt her pride, her honor. Why did he speak them? He could have told her that he was not in a good mood after his argument with his sister and after spending half of his day with his brother in law.
But he decided to hurt her so that she would not choose to come to him next time. She did not work on making this marriage better until he got over with his family and royal family.
But when he was expecting a slap, she whispered, "oh!" shocking him to his core.
"Oh?" he tilted his head to see her reddened cheeks but she did not move out, did not try to leave the room but did not take the initiative too.
