The knights were never told to check the carriage of the duke. Every knight knew he held more authority than princes and princesses but when it came to the first son of marquees Welenshire, they did not understand why he was supported by the duke until they saw.. "Now!" the voice felt like thunder and they scurried away to check the carriages instantly.
There were five carriages in total. Two belong to the family of marques while three belong to the duke.
One of the marquis' carriages was empty and another had four servants with a lot of bags. They opened the seats and checked that they only had the luggage of servants.
The duke's first carriage had a knight and his child sleeping. Second carriage had two maids and one knight. The last carriage had luggage and… weapons?
But it did not have a princess and anything that resembles her.
