"Aah, Elowen, you are here." Richard called the young girl with a sweet smile on his face when Elowen bowed and greeted him, "I was waiting for you. How was your journey? I hope you are not tired since it took more days than you expected."
Elowen paused since she knew it was a harsh comment that she had missed three days of the celebration when she should have been there since the start.
"Our carriage suffers from minor accidents but I am relieved that I will be here for your birthday, your majesty. My mother would have been disappointed if i would not have given you this." Nadia took out a small box and passed it to her mistress.
Elowen bowed her head again and passed the box to Meredith who rose from her seat to get the box.
