"Garrison did not like Nathan?" The news was new to her.
Though she had not seen them much together, she was sure that Garrison did not believe in souring relationships. He would behave kindly and make sure that everyone would have an amicable relationship with him, in case they were needed.

That meant… either maids were lying or it was a ruse. And that ruse could only be needed to hide a bigger truth.
