"Is that all, your grace?" Ana checked all the goods brought for the kids and nodded.
The maids arranged everything in a line and knocked on the door.
The director came with all the kids standing in a line. Many poor from the streets were also peeking at the things.
There was a long crate of toys, warm duvets, clothes and even sweets and candies.
She smiled at the kids who looked at her with uneasy eyes.
The director came forward and bowed his head.
"We welcome you, your grace. We are honored and grateful for your efforts. Thank you for thinking about the kids. After the death of the previous duchess, it is the first time someone visited here from the palace." there was a sad smile on his face as he welcomed her in.
Ana noticed that the palace was warm and clean. Though it did not have any fancy decoration. It had a homely vibe to it. The kids were smiling softly and it did not look like they were maltreated.
