"Then thank you." Ana smiled and took a sip of the juice but the maid kept standing.
"Are you not leaving? Isn't it already too late?"
"...." the maid was hoping that Ana would offer some gold for the trip but the foolish noble must have not thought of that!
It was fine! She was wearing the uniform of the palace. She would be able to get credit too.
She nodded her head and left hurriedly.
"I want the carriage assigned for maids." she told the butler since the head maid had already retired from the room. However Ben frowned.
"I have received no request from the lady. It is late anyways. It is not safe for you to leave. I will explain the lady if she asked." he suggested softly but she held her dress tightly.
She knew that she could not convince Ben. and if she force, he would go to Ana and then she would lose her chance to own a jewel.
What if her impression worsened and she would never be able to win it agin?
