Ana smiled when her daughter kicked her belly hard. She rubbed it and went to meet Rowan. The young boy was just finishing his classes. He was covered with sweat and looked exhausted. She had heard from Garry that his course had increased.
Garry was training him hard for early inheritance and though she felt bad for Rowan, she knew how necessary it was. If they left him alone this time, at least.. He would be trained to face the world.
They must write a will too. So that no one could take what belonged to him. Rowan only noticed Ana when he let go of the napkin and took off his coat. She was leaning on the door and staring at him intently. The gaze made him nervous. These days Ana often looks at him with remorse and guilt and sadness as if she had lost something important. That sadness had seeped deep into her bones. If only, he could do something to bring those happy days back.
