"Where were you?" Garry looked away when Ana stared at her with a piercing gaze. He walked in and noticed she was standing in front of Rowan's bed. The child was already sleeping but she was staring at him with remorse.
"He did not forgive us as you have predicted. I just wanted to see if he was fine." she shook her head and Garry nodded.
He picked up the glass of water from the table and drank it in a single gulp.
"I have killed the woman who tormented her if it makes you feel any better." that made her eyes widen and she gasped.
"Garry!"
"Do not worry, I have poisoned her. They would never know it was me. That woman must have tormented many to know who did it exactly. I have left all the doors open. Everyone in their right mind would steal something and run away. Her lover was the first to run away." He shrugged as if it mattered nothing but Ana could feel the stiffness of his muscles and raspiness in his sound.
