In the town Frost Bane,
"Ha! What was I even thinking? The woman is not going to come." Penny shook her head and held the dried clothes tightly as she gave one last look to the door before moving back to her house. Ana had promised that she would bring Penny to the shop today. She had even offered to take her grandma Isolde to a physician. Penny knew from that moment that Ana was lying.
No one could afford a physician after the new taxation policy and getting a dress from a noble's designer. She sighed… "I was a fool to get my hopes high."
She went to the kitchen and stabbed the vegetables hard to take out her anger when the door knocked.
Her eyes snapped at the door. Her grandmother was in the hall praying with her eyes closed. He gave one look of worry to her and went to open the door with her clammy hands holding her dress tightly.
She was stunned to see Ana standing at her doorsteps.
