"Thank you, your grace. Would you like to take a round of the garden then?" June looked at her with hopefully piercing eyes when Ana held the cup tightly.
She winced and staggered a bit.
"I.. I think I am exhausted from the journey and will rest a bit, I suddenly feel dizzy." her voice came slowly, as if she was already in the grip of slumber.
June looked at the empty cup again with beaming eyes. That foolish Emma knew nothing. Boiling further only increases potency. The medicine worked earlier than ever.
"Alright, then I will extinguish the candles. Have a good rest, your grace." with a chirpy smile, the girl hurriedly put off the fire of candles while keeping an eye on the struggling Ana who had a hard time reaching her bed.
June scoffed. The woman was naive!
"She could have asked me to take her to bed first!" June mumbled in her breath as she held the door and closed it.
