Ana sat on her bed and stared at Emma. She had sent June, the maid given by the royal palace, to bring a new set of clothes.
"Where did they get tea from?" her words rushed but she spoke in an extremely low voice when Emma looked back at the door too.
As if asking why are you staring at the door so spoilt.
"Tell me, I didn't have much time." Emma flinched but nodded,
"They purchase it from a foreigner. The drug is used in making sedatives for mental patients. It keeps them in control. But it has a lethal effect on sane persons. I do not know much except that a merchant comes every month to sell it to the royal family and they supply it to asylums.
They have kept the whole supply in their control because of the potency of medicine." Ana nodded, it was already much more than she could expect from a mere maid.
