Chapter 75 - 74 - Billiards

Derrick withdrew and rubbed his eyes with discomfort.

The lights in the bar were so sharp that his eyes almost hurt.

Seeing the black guy next to him wearing sunglasses, Derrick patted him on the shoulder in a joking manner and asked, "Hey buddy, will you sell me your sunglasses?"

"The fuck, who is this bitch–"

As an African-American who suffered discrimination since childhood, he was mistaken and thought that Derrick was trying to make a joke about him. He wanted to teach Derrick a lesson, but when he saw him, his eyes suddenly widened.

"Father, it's you? Why are you here?"

"Huh?"

Derrick looked puzzled, and saw the man take off his sunglasses, "Father, have you forgotten already? We just met in church today."

Seeing the man's face, Derrick remembered.

'Oh yes, he came to the church, the believer I believe?'

Derrick instantly changed his personality and put on an elegant, respectful expression. He asked with a gentle smile, "I of course haven't forgotten you, my child. Every child who believes in the great Lord will stay in my heart forever."

The lights of the bar shone on Derrick, and the man felt as if it was a holy light… Although the 'holy light' had many vibrant colours, the man was still deeply touched and no longer thought about why Derrick was there.

He clasped his hands together and clenched his fists as if praying, and said reverently, "Father, you are a great man!"

Derrick: '...'

This scene would be perfectly normal in a church, but why was he doing this in a place like a bar?

"Since I know you, let me get to the point, I urgently need your sunglasses."

"No problem, if you like this pair of sunglasses, I'll give you this pair of sunglasses, priest, if you want something to drink, just order it, it'll be my treat."

"What an embarrassment." Derrick immediately put on his sunglasses, and said to the bartender, "Bring me a glass of your best scotch, and let this kind believer bear its credit."

"Father, you really drink?"

"I ain't ordering scotch to sniff it so, yes."

Bartender: 'The damned priests these days, if the church is full of things like him, it'll all be over sooner or later!'

"There she is!"

Derrick spotted Lorna in the club's entertainment area.

Seeing that she was playing billiards with a blonde man, Derrick narrowed his eyes slightly and noticed that the blondeie's soul was also rotten.

After saying goodbye to the devout believer, Derrick picked up the scotch and walked over to Lorna.

On the table, Derrick saw Lorna take the club and hit the white ball beautifully.

With its inertia, the ball crashed into a red ball, but the direction was a little off for the red one to reach the pocket.

The billiard ball was moving slowly. Just when it was about to hit the corner and stop, Lorna's fingertips flashed green, and the billiard ball that was about to stop regained momentum, made a graceful turn and finally fell into a pocket.

Lorna looked up at the blonde man and said, "You lost. According to the agreement, you need to pay me 500 dollars."

"Damn it! The billiard ball turned weirdly!"

The blondie's eyes widened in disbelief.

"Haha, even bullets can turn, what's so strange about a ball turning?"

When a familiar voice came, Lorna turned her head and was stunned for a moment.

At that moment, Derrick, who was wearing a priest's robe, sunglasses on his eyes, a glass of scotch in his hand, his body swaying with the music, walked towards Lorna with dawdling steps.

The blonde man was stunned, 'this priest played quite… wild.'

"It's you!"

Lorna recognized Derrick and asked in shock, "Why are you here?"

"Look at you asking this stupid question. Can't you tell? Obviously, I'm here to exorcise the demons." Derrick took a big sip of his scotch. His face turned red, and he almost couldn't hold back his mouth, but fortunately, his Self-healing ability helped him instantly get the alcohol out of his body.

Lorna: "..."

Hearing Derrick's words, the blonde man's complexion changed slightly, but seeing Derrick's completely unreliable state, he instantly dispelled the suspicions in his heart and looked at Lorna.

"Is this priest your friend?"

"Nope, don't know him."

Lorna immediately denied it, staring at Derrick with strange eyes, "Could it be that you followed me here?"

"How can that be possible?" Derrick didn't admit it, and explained, "I just happened to pass by, and then I felt that there was a devil's breath here, and it stinks very badly, so I came in to tell him to brush." He said, pretending to be drunk.

The corners of Lorna's eyes twitched, this is going to end!

Derrick then whispered seriously, "Don't worry, with me here, these demons can't hurt anyone, you may not know, in fact, exorcism is a compulsory study course in our church, and I was the best student in my batch."

"So, Father, are you here to exorcise demons?" The blonde man laughed.

"Exactly."

"Then, why can't I see your exorcism tools?" The blonde man took a look at Derrick.

Derrick smiled and said, "I am proficient in all kinds of powerful spells, demons are no problem at all. But still, to be ready for anything, I brought the holy water from our church. No matter how powerful the demons are, they will be exorcised."

Derrick said as he put his hand forward.

Lorna and the blonde man looked at the scotch in Derrick's hand.

'This holy water is indeed quite strong!'

Under the speechless gaze of the two, Derrick took a sip of the scotch version of holy water.

"By the way, what are you guys playing? How about I join in too?"

"Billiards, 500 USD a pocket. You interested?"

Derrick shook his head and said arrogantly, "500 USD is too little. 2,000 USD per pocket."

'Bloody hell! Are all priests so rich?' Lorna thought.

"No problem." The blonde man nodded decisively in agreement and turned to look at Lorna.

"Your 500 USD will be given to you later."

Lorna glanced at the clock on the wall, and replied indifferently, "Alright, just hurry up."

Before the game started, the blonde man seemed to think of something and said, "Father, you don't know how to play billiards, do you?"

"Our church indeed doesn't teach this."

"That puts me at ease."

The blonde-haired man took the shot first, separating all the balls with his shot, "It's your turn, Father.

Derrick put down the scotch in his hand, picked up Lorna's cue stick, walked to the table, and bent down slowly.

'Bullet time'

Tap! Tap!

Derrick directly made a miracle happen, the ball sent out from his stick hit all the other balls precisely.

By the time the white ball stopped, only half of the billiard balls remained on the table.

The blondie: "..."

Lorna:"..."
