E/N: Blessing of mana has been changed to Blessing of Insight. I'm sorry for the confusion.

"Um?"
Derrick turned his head to look around and found that there was no one other than the girl with dark green hair.
Lorna looked at Derrick with a cold face and said, "What were you doing just now?"
Derrick blinked his eyes in confusion, "Looking in the mirror. What else can I do here?"
Hearing his words, Lorna glanced at the polished glass of the restaurant, and noticed that the people standing outside could not see inside.
Lorna's anger disappeared in an instant, she restored her calm face, and said, "Aren't you a priest? Why do you put on strange postures when looking in the… mirror? It won't be good if you are seen by the people."
Looking at Derrick's clothes and his way of talking, Lorna reluctantly believed that Derrick is a priest.
Derrick then corrected Lorna, "I think you seem to have some misunderstanding about us priests. We are also human beings, can't we have our own little habits?"
Lorna looked at him suspiciously, "But, are YOU really a priest?"
"You doubt me?"
Derrick's eyes widened. In his short career as a priest, he was questioned twice. This was undoubtedly an insult to him.
"NO, I did not–"
"You are doubting me! Well, since this is the case, I'll have to prove myself to you."
Lorna's expression froze.
Derrick stared at Lorna for a long time. Lorna expressed familiarity with this stare. She had seen it through the restaurant's glass just now.
After staring for a long time, Derrick frowned suddenly, and said with a serious face, "Girl, I sense an evil entity around you. I suspect that you have encountered a demon recently."
"Demon.....…"
Lorna raised her eyebrows slightly and asked, "Father, are you serious? I don't remember encountering any strange thing, so what kind of demon are you talking about?"
Derrick shook his head, "I don't know. Although I am a priest, to tell you the truth, I just became one not too long ago, my theoretical knowledge is still lacking, but I can sense it. It has a very bad smell. It smells bad."
Lorna was expressionless, she seriously doubted what Derrick was saying.
Moreover, this was almost an insult and no girl would bear it.
Lorna's face became more and more gloomy, and she gritted her teeth and said, "Even if you are a priest, it doesn't mean you can talk nonsense to me. Listen to me clearly, I take a bath every day. It is impossible for me to smell like you said."
As soon as she finished speaking, Lorna was startled suddenly.
Something was wrong, this didn't seem like her character at all.
In the past, she was too lazy to talk nonsense with others, let alone reveal things involving her privacy to a complete stranger.
The thing was, under the influence of Derrick's super high school priest, Lorna unknowingly let go of her defenses.
With her guards down, she stood outside the restaurant and chatted with Derrick, until Lorna noticed a trace of abnormality.
Derrick spread his hands helplessly, "Believe me, it really smells. If you don't believe me, let me describe it to you. It's like cheese mixed with canned herring that has been boiled for several days and then put in a cool place."
The corner of Lorna's mouth twitched a few times, resisting the thought of a rebuttal, she turned around and left.
She didn't know what this strange feeling was.
But her intuition told her that she must leave quickly, otherwise she would become weirder.
"No one even believes an honest priest. What has happened to this world?"
Seeing Lorna's back, Derrick couldn't help shaking his head.
He really wasn't lying though.
Although there is nothing special about Lorna's soul, Derrick saw a faint black aura around Lorna. The black aura was very weak, and it doesn't seem to affect her too much. It was as if Lorna got it accidentally. .
With the blessing of insight, Derrick had a special perception ability.
Just like Matt, he can 'see' everything through powerful perception without using his eyes.
And Derrick 'smelled' the filthy aura exuding from this mass of black aura through insight.
"As a priest, how can I just sit back and watch an innocent person get harmed by a demon, not to mention, eliminating demons is a priest's job."
Derrick then started following Lorna without any hesitation, while trying to think about a reason for his stalking in case he got caught.
.
.
-Twilight falls, Brooklyn, Stoke neighborhood-
Derrick stopped, looking at the open bar not far away.
He could smell a lingering scent, Lorna should be inside.
Without any further ado, Derrick walked into the bar.
Immediately afterwards, he heard a deafening electronic sound, coloured lights flickered above his head, and on the spacious dance floor, countless heads were shaking. The air was always filled with a strong smell of drugs.
Derrick glanced around the bar, but did not see Lorna for a while.
He then walked to the bar, waved his hand, and called the bartender over.
"Sir, what would you like to drink?"
"Get me a glass of beer."
Just as the bartender was about to get him the order, he noticed that Derrick wore a priest's robe.
'Have the believers of God fallen?'
Derrick sat at the bar and continued to observe. The lights in this bar were very dim, but this did not affect Derrick's perception. The souls of everyone in the bar came were being looked at by him, some of them even caught his attention.
They were not translucent souls like normal people.
The souls of these people were almost not humanoid, viscous and foul-smelling.
Thick black mist exuded from their whole bodies.
If a camera could capture this, Derrick would have wanted to record it and send it to Wade, so he would realize that there are uglier things than him in this world.
Derrick then suddenly smelled it, cheese mixed with canned herring.
'It seems like that girl came to this place, and her breath was contaminated with the breath of these…creatures.'
This now raised a question in Derrick's mind, what were these people? Normal drug addicts couldn't have such bad souls.
