The resources of the Duke were blatantly stored in the warehouse, yet no one among those who survived dared to touch them, for they knew touching them would be no different from courting death.
If they refrained from touching these resources, it at least demonstrated that they bore no thoughts of rebellion, showing their absolute obedience, and under the current environment of scarce population, perhaps the person who had killed the Duke might spare their lives.
But, if they dared to access these resources, it would prove they harbored thoughts of rebellion.
Because the purpose of using resources was inevitably to enhance one's strength.
So, with the Duke murdered, what do you plan to do with such a rush to increase your strength? Do you intend to become an enemy of the one who killed the Duke?
