He had found this drone in a resident's room downstairs and kept it at home without ever activating it, but he had charged it in advance.
"Even if it can't transmit in real time, it should be able to make a recording."
Li Ming took the drone outside and headed towards the main gate of his apartment complex. After looking around and satisfied, he tried to make the drone take off by pressing a few buttons.
The drone didn't respond.

"I forgot, without any network signal, the drone which relies on signals can't be controlled."
Li Ming grimaced, helplessly setting his gadget down. His plan to use the drone for reconnaissance had been thwarted by the lack of signal.
Though he didn't quite understand why electromagnetic signals were also being blocked, he had to accept it as it was.
"Guess I have to do this myself."
