"Lu Sisi, here you are! I was searching everywhere for you," the woman said, her face lighting up with a smile.
Lu Sisi returned the smile, though it didn't quite reach her eyes. "Did you need something?" she asked.
"Actually, we were all thinking of going out for lunch together. Would you like to join us?" the woman proposed eagerly.
"Oh, that sounds lovely," Lu Sisi replied, forcing a fake excitement in her eyes but then she sighed. "Thank you for inviting me, but I'm really sorry; I can't make it today. I have other plans."
"Really?" the girl pouted, her disappointment evident in her frown. "That's too bad. I was hoping you could meet the other girls so that they could get to know you better. I think you'd really hit it off with them."
"Maybe next time," Lu Sisi offered weakly.
