A playful smile flickered in Pei Xingcheng's eyes. "Oh really? And what makes you feel that way?" he asked, curiosity shining in his expression.
"Because I don't want you to kiss anyone else," she confessed.
"But that's part of my job," he replied with a sigh. "As an actor, I have to do certain things as per the script."
Hearing that, Tang Zhixi's eyes dimmed. She clenched her fists, aware of his honesty. As an actor, if he had to kiss someone for a role, there was nothing she could do about it. Besides, they weren't officially in a relationship yet.
She hadn't labeled their connection; he was merely her trial boyfriend, and she had no authority to dictate his actions. However, the thought of him kissing someone else, even if it was just acting, filled her with unease.
The mere idea of it stung. It was painful.
