Lennox suddenly fell on his knees and pressed his forehead against the floor, his expression filled with grief. He heard his mother-in-law gasp but didn't care; he only wanted to see his wife again.
"I'm willing to do whatever it takes to bring my wife back, Master. Please help her." He begged the monk. What was the point of having everything when the person he loved most was gone?
"Young man, you must understand that you will lose fame and success if you make this decision. However, if you intend to take this path, you free yourself and your wife from your fated ends." The monk responded with a compassionate smile.
Lennox raised his head and looked at the monk with a determined look. He would do anything if he could bring his wife back, even if he had to lose something in return.
"I understand, but still, I beg you to save my wife." He insisted. "I love her more than anything in this world."
