"Tell me, Addie. Who do you belong to?"
Adrienne knew that voice like the back of her hand. Her entire body trembled as the man before her moved closer.
"I belong to no one." She replied nervously.
The cup the man held fell on the cold floor and was crushed next to her. Only then did Adrienne realize she was slumped on the floor. The man's eyes bore into her, filled with anger and possessiveness. Adrienne's heart raced as she desperately searched for an escape route, knowing she needed to find a way out before it was too late.
She lifted her gaze and met Alistair's cold, hard stare. He towered over her, his towering figure casting a dark shadow that made her feel trapped and helpless. She knew Alistair had always been possessive of her, but she had never seen him this angry. His eyes bore into her so intensely that she felt like she was drowning under his gaze.
