Chereads / LUCKY AND HERO: God of System / Chapter 88 - Instability

Chapter 88 - Instability

A little black bird started circling in the sky.

The black bird was so fast one could see the circle it was making, yet the bird remained unseen for observing eyes… that was not from Dragon Riders.

After less than five seconds, the bird was finally visible in anyone's eyes as it started to slow down and descend.

Humans would notice how the bird pattern of landing was similar to airplanes.

The black bird was called Fer Lefia. A common messenger bird used by Dragon Riders. Its ability was pretty simple. It was too fast just like missiles. Because of its speed, it had a hard time descending normally, it had to circle around when it descended.

The fer lefia landed by the arm of a peculiar Dragon Rider. She was a Lisia. A royalty in human tongue.

The Dragon Rider was young but brave, she was also full of curiosity. Beside her, a human was kneeling in all four, waiting for the message to be received.

"Hm… it seems that the Shaman had recalled us. The land of the merging world is too unstable for us to cause more instability. We are to immediately report to the kingdom."

"Pardon me for my presumptuousness, however, Lisia, how about our task to catch the human?"

"We would abandon it. We can't make the world more unstable than it is. There are other parties who are causing the world to be more unstable than it already is. If we joined the fray, then, the Super Phenomena would fail and all those who had not evacuated would die. We need to look for…"

"I understand. I'll heed your command."

"Uhh… that's it."

Caelus said after explaining everything he experienced regarding the virus that attacked the human body.

Hikari was so focused that he was slightly taken aback. The beautiful heroic lady was so focused if it regards to healing knowledge.

He felt chuckling but held himself.

"Wow! I didn't know that we could take that direction! I want to learn what you do, but I don't think I can. But nevertheless, I know what I can do, I need to know which power source I am compatible with. Mana or Energy? I don't know. If I can be compatible with both like you, then that would be great!

"Also, I can study acupuncture points! You said that the main Qi Waypoints intersect with the acupuncture points. Maybe there's something like a common ground! Ah, I miss Alisa in times like this. The way you described everything seems similar to acupuncture of the ancient era. Although it's not practiced in our time, there's still a lot of details regarding it from our world. Oh! Did you check the Library Shop?"

"Library Shop?"

"It's in the system. It looks like everything significant that was destroyed in our world and the other world that got merged with us were stored in the system. Oh, not everything! Almost everything. There was some food here and there that didn't vanish. Some items too… but mostly, they vanished. Anyway, those lost items could be found inside the Random Shop. You can search for specific items, like how the people here searched for their things and found it.

"The Library Shop is one of its Shop features that has lots of books in it. There's also those that I don't really think came from our world. They are in a language that needs a Language Bundle to be translated. In this area, I'm the only one who can translate those as long as the language needed has been downloaded. If you're a bookworm, you'll surely love it. Ahh… don't tell me you haven't checked any features of the System? You were the one who discovered the secret shop!"

He laughed awkwardly. There were many things that happened that he really didn't think of checking the System. And since he had internal struggles, he really didn't have energy to think about other things.

Was he what people called a one-track mind?

For once, he could not fully concentrate on many things and would function slower if he tried to multi-task. Basically, he was the opposite of a multi-tasker.

"Could you tell me what you found?"

"Sure! I think it's actually better if you look at it…"

While Hikari was explaining things, they continued to move forward amidst the zombie below them. Caelus was naturally using his Qi Cloak to shroud them both. He shrunk the size so that he could maintain it longer.

As he listened to Hikari, he couldn't help but be amazed.

According to what Hikari described, the Glitch Shop had been categorized in different sections. There was even the Survival Item Shop that everyone knows containing only the basic necessities such as food, water, fire starter items, purifying water, etc.

There were also other sections like: Potion Shop, Skill Shop, Weapon and Armor Shop, Accessory Shop, Artifact Shop, Library Shop, Relics Shop, Rune Shop and many more that Hikari's group don't know their use yet.

All of the items available in the Glitch Shop could be purchased with God Points and if someone didn't have enough GP to buy, they could actually use the System to sell things they have.

According to her, the group that had been infected with the virus were actually using the God Point trade system to function properly.

They had many miscellaneous Glitch Skills that weren't useful for battle, such as Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Cooking and many more that were similar to Asahi's group and also unique in their own.

The mini city that used to be their home was actually built with people who were in the science field, they were famous because of this. And when they manifest their Glitch, almost everyone has the same Glitch.

It was also the reason why they survived for so long even with fewer fighters. They were able to understand their Glitches much faster than normal people.

Caelus could understand the logic behind it. Because they had almost the same powers, gathering data made it easier, and so they could create a system for them to level up their skills proficiently.

And so, when outsiders stumbled across them, the residents were actually treated with great respect.

The outside world that was merging with another world was too chaotic.

Having a place where everyone was organized was a breath of fresh air.

When Caelus heard it he couldn't help but wish he came earlier to see the place.

The people who were turned into zombies were actually genius for surviving this long!

They even know how to hide their presence against the Dragon Riders which Caelus badly needed now that they were chasing him.

As Hikari continued her story, she went back to talk about the shop. As the shop circulates, many more discover its function. There were books, gadgets and even spells available for purchase! But to purchase, they needed to use God Points.

That's where the grinding of Zones came in handy. For someone who doesn't have miscellaneous skills, they could only enter Zones that are Common Zones.

When he asked Hikari where the God's Army was.

She just answered that no one knows. Couple of days after the Super Phenomena, every God's Army vanished. And because they couldn't really contact everyone, they could only conclude that few people even remembered there was actually a God's Army who was supposed to watch over everyone.

Without their monitoring, everything descended into chaos after chaos. Especially when the Dragon Riders started to appear.

While listening, he couldn't help having a different point of view.

What if the merging was done with the monitoring of God's Army? Wouldn't that mean the Dragon Riders wouldn't be able to run wild? Although they experienced suffering and were pushed to raise their instinctive will to survive, the outside of Zones would be safe with the God's Army, wouldn't it?

He felt his hair rising with that thought.

Was the System actually bad? Or was the one using it the one who was actually bad?

He recalled how Alpha said that the System was not their enemy.

He immediately put those thoughts at the back of his mind. He still had little clue. Even if he thought deeper, he would only start feeling fear with the unknown things that concern the Super Phenomena.
