Caelus and Asahi continued to chatter while moving towards Gouki's location. To the Southwest where Gouki was currently in.
Gouki's movement, according to Sanctuary, was erratic and hard to predict. However, because Sanctuary gave off a friendly signal, Gouki dwindled down his erratic movement, thus they could meet him soon.
While talking with Asahi, Caelus discovers more about other Glitch skills.
He realized that skills don't just consist of Heal, Tank, DPS Damage Per Seconds or DD Damage Dealer like games Sho played. There were also various Lifestyle like skills: Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Cooking and many more different skills that he never heard about or thought about even Inscription and Rune Making!
It really felt like they were thrown into a game, yet, there was so much freedom that there are only few who really have overlapping Glitch Skills.
And as for Classes… it was more complicated.
Based on Asahi's group observation, the Class depended on the personality or the person's choices. Not because someone awakened Blacksmithing his Class would also be Blacksmithing, there was someone in their camp who was a Blacksmith but became Warrior Blacksmith as Class.
The concept was too broad that making a guide would not be useful for everyone.
Of course, there were many things that would make people want to quit "this" type of game. From Sho's perspective, this setup was so profound that individual guides would be needed to move forward.
It was not User friendly or Newbie friendly.
There was also no tutorial around.
And the worst thing? As the Super Phenomena started, Caelus had expected that the facilitator God's Army would explain the rules so they could use the System.
They just vanished. Even Asahi didn't know anything about the God's Army. He or anyone in his group had never met them.
It was like they vanished in thin air, making him wonder if the situation was dire that the God's Army was needed somewhere else. Of course, without anyone to answer the question, it became a passing thought.
Asahi also informed Caelus about monsters they've encountered.
More and more monsters popped out of the new merging world. Dragon was one of the top, but it wasn't alone. Asahi already saw many mythical creatures that left Caelus breathless just hearing of it.
Unicorn!
Phoenix!
Griffin!
And there are many more.
But the most usual monsters are still Undead Skeleton, Zombies, Vampires and Werewolves; and from the normal monsters that aren't Undead, there are Wolves, Goblins, Orcs, Trolls and many more.
There was one thing they had in common.
They all act insane.
After seeing any other creature, they would attack. It doesn't matter if it was human or monsters. They would still attack. The more they survive, the stronger they also get.
Caelus who did not meet any monsters yet with Sanctuary's help and his Qi Cloak could only take note of those monsters.
Aside from that, he discovered that there are three types of Zones classified by Asahi's group. It was different from Common Zone, Hidden Zone, Safe Zone and Shelter Zones. Everyone in Asahi's group labeled those three types as Enclosed, Open and Uncertain.
The Enclosed Type is a Zone that automatically closes when certain conditions are met. At that time, no one could get in until everyone was outside or dead. That also meant it won't open up when there's people inside. When Caelus heard of that, he immediately thought of his first encounter of the Hidden Zone.
However, it seems that there were actually Common Zones and Safe Zones that also fell in that category, although they only had one reference for Safe Zone. It was contradictory to what he remembered Sanctuary told about Safe Zones. Was that Safe Zone Asahi encountered special?
The second type, Open Type, the Zone was somewhat different from the first one. It would open once the conditions were met, it would then close from the outside as long as the conditions were still the same, no one could get in. But those inside can get out without a hitch. And once someone got out, there would be another person who could get in.
Caelus automatically thought of standing in line for the Open Type of Zones.
Most of the time, these Zones had few God Points as reward, however, the Zone stayed where it was. It could also be grinded, meaning anyone could go back to that Zone even when they had cleared it.
It was the very same zone he encountered with Alpha and Miya. And it was mostly Common Zones which are Open Zones, though, because of few Hidden Zones, they could not be sure of it.
Caelus also felt that Safe Zones were more Open Type than anything else. Though, the difference might be anyone could get in and out of the Safe Zones without limit as Sanctuary described.
As long as they met the requirement set.
For instance, the Safe Zone he pointed to Elder Tomoko, only friendly humans could enter.
The last type was special. The Uncertain Type. It changes depending on scenarios. From Asahi's encounter, there was a different type of Quest you can follow, each giving abundant rewards.
But the higher the quest you tackle, the higher the difficulty.
Because of the high risk, it also gives high reward.
If you didn't want to die, it was better to follow the simplest quest.
The last type also encompasses the Zone that traps people. When someone gets trapped inside the Zone, no one knows what happens.
There were times when the corpse would just emerge after some time.
They also lost communication with the person who got trapped in those types of Zones even when trying to use all communication Glitch skills they possessed.
At which the Uncertain Type was deemed dangerous. And since it also appears in Common Zones, it was advised to not take it for a grind Zone if you are not confident with your abilities.
All Zones randomly spawned all throughout the map in their region as far as Asahi could tell.
There were also some Zones that stayed even after the first set of people had already cleared it. They were mostly Common Zones with the three types of categories.
Of course, the Hidden Zones mostly vanished after clearing it. However, there were Hidden Zones that were either Enclosed Type or Uncertain Type or could be a mix of both.
There was actually a higher possibility that Hidden Zones that could be grinded were Uncertain Type.
Yet, since they were few, Asahi's group reference has only encountered five Hidden Zones.
Based on Asahi's group information, they still couldn't tell why some of the Zones stayed, making it easier to grind some God Points.
But after knowing that Zones were the lull between the portals towards another world, the Research team came to another new direction to tackle.
"We still lack a lot of data for further conclusion. So far, that's the only theory we have."
"The more I listen to you, the more I realize how amazing you are."
"Of course I have to be amazing. I'm your role model, right?"
"Yes…"
Caelus was sincere. He also felt proud and happy.
It seems all his worries are washing away.
Caelus suddenly realized.
It was the second time he had been truly happy ever since coming into this world. He had no memories. And when he was planning to dig deeper into himself, he encountered the apocalypse. Battles after battles ensured. And when he was finally out of battle, he was left alone, grieving. There were also fragments of his memories showing how gruesome his life had been although he did have a happy life in certain moments.
He tried to act happy as he moved forward, but he wasn't.
But with Asahi right now, he felt refreshed.
Family.
It was a simple word. But Caelus felt enlightened after experiencing true peace with Asahi by his side.
Yes, the fight isn't over yet. But with his best friend by his side, he felt they could do anything together.
And he was confident they would surely be able to come out alive.
"Oh, right. You're telling me you see Luck stats, right? How come you can see that when I don't even have that in my status?"
"Huh?"
"When you've mentioned about the Luck stat, I've asked around and my group said they also don't have it. Is it only you who can upgrade Luck stats?"
*What is this…*
Caelus had no clue about it.
