Chereads / LUCKY AND HERO: God of System / Chapter 41 - Other People’s Point of View

Chapter 41 - Other People’s Point of View

In another place of the merging world, a guy with shining silver hair stood tall. And when described as shiny, it wasn't just having good healthy hair. His hair was literally shining like a ray of light.

The man was Asahi.

Asahi with his team of more than one thousand emerged on the hellish world.

Everyone had a serious look on their face, but they weren't scared. They were prepared for it. Asahi prepared everyone. As soon as the Super Phenomena started, he gathered everyone around. He explained to them what was happening. At first, no one wanted to believe him. It was just too hard to imagine.

But then he showed them one of his skills, Holy Light. Which buffed everyone that got touched or burned if he deemed them evil. Because there were people who wanted to be in control, he showed them his power. He wasn't afraid because his mana seems endless. Aside from that, he has other skills to choose from, but mainly, he just showed everyone the Holy Light.

People were still hesitant but the monsters soon attacked them. It was a mess, but he protected as many as he could, gaining their respect in just a few hours of battle. He commanded everyone and soon became victorious on his side. But he wasn't satisfied with less than a hundred people. He explored the whole Zone they were in. As he did, he was contacted by someone. He signed a contract with that being and gained more information he didn't know how to process.

He was regretful and thankful with his contract. Without the contract, he wouldn't be able to prepare anyone from the upcoming doom outside the Zones. But he was also regretting a lot of things.

But now was not the time to be wallowing in regret.

He surveyed the area. Just like the information he received, it was pure hell. Fire was everywhere. Ruins of their world and the other world was within sight. The area they got ejected was stable enough for them to find a foothold. There were dead bodies everywhere. The smell around was a disgusting mix of dead bodies, burned nature and structure and other unknown smells Asahi wasn't aware of.

Pure chaos.

But he was prepared. They were prepared.

From the distance, a dragon was soaring up high as if patrolling the area. Someone was riding the dragon.

He immediately turned off the Holy Light when the dragon flew over their head. His glowing hair immediately went back to its natural color of black.

*Dragon Rider. It was just like the information that was given to me.* His face was grim remembering the information regarding the Dragon Riders race. Unlike them, the Dragon Riders were aware of possible Super Phenomena. In their history lessons, they teach about the possibility of merging two worlds. When the world started to merge, they came prepared. They started havoc to conquer the new world.

Seeing the wreckage, Asahi knew they were losing. Humans were on the losing side.

*But not for long.* He knew how to defeat Dragon Riders. And he educated his team as much as possible.

"Everyone ready?" He shouted, garnering the attention of the Dragon Rider up above. He activated his skill once more. The shock effect was effective for both the Dragon Rider and Dragon.

"Ready!" The group was full of confidence regardless of what they saw.

"Formation 1!"

"Kid, you should really stop following me." Gouki emotionlessly glanced at Akihiko.

The kid just stubbornly followed Akihiko since they separated from the group. He really didn't care about the kid. Gouki can take care of himself and Akihiko wouldn't get hurt because of his skills, aside from that, the kid has innate skill about covering his presence.

However, he didn't want to take the kid. He has a set destination in mind.

"Only you can teach me how I can use my skill. I saw you with my skill. There's just this familiarity with your skill with mine."

"Kid, go home."

"I don't want to go home."

Gouki glanced again at the kid as he continued to walk. Akihiko's voice didn't contain any sadness in it. Instead, there was a sense of freedom. Being someone who worked with the law, he was no stranger with how humanity was cruel.

He didn't say a word and continued. His destination was a Hidden Quest Zone. He wanted to get stronger. Strong enough to challenge the Dragon Riders who created havoc as soon as the Super Phenomena started. He just barely won versus the Dragon Rider he fought earlier. His strength was not enough.

Based on the information he got from the Dragon Rider he fought, that being was only a scout. There's more of them to come.

He needed to be prepared.

He would avenge his family's death.

"You still won't concede. You're too arrogant for a human." the lady with violet eyes and blazing hair uttered in disgust.

Hikari didn't say anything. Her hair was wet from the harsh rain, well, her whole body was soaked but even so she just smiled at the lady in front of her understandingly.

The lady sneered and kicked her stomach. Hikari grunted, she wanted to reach out her stomach that was kicked, but her hands were bound behind the pillar. Still, she gave the lady a forgiving look.

"Hypocrite. Die as a hypocrite."

"I know you won't kill me." Hikari said, the smile on her face didn't leave her lips. "I believe in you."

The lady's face was painted with disdain. "Die."

Somewhere in the corner behind the trees, Hana was shaking uncontrollably.

*I didn't do anything bad. I did what I had to do. I did this to survive.* She kept on telling herself on repeat. She felt if she stopped, she would completely lose her mind.

She had seen everything that happened after she lured the Savior Gang to their camp. The massacre. Blood was everywhere. Bodies dropped like they were just trash.

*I didn't do anything wrong. They had it coming. Survival of the fittest. Just like games are. It's all about who is strong. Who are great at strategizing. It just so happens that I'm the one who won.* A soft laugh escaped Hana's mouth.

Yes. She's the heroine. That's why she had to survive. The rest are just extra. So, them dying was just something waiting to happen. Yes. It's like that. She wasn't evil. She didn't do anything wrong.

She closed her eyes and the image of people getting killed one by one as she ran to safety came back. She immediately opened her eyes wide.

*Stop! You can't make me the villain here! I'm the heroine!* She stubbornly repeated in her mind.

An alluring voice echoed.

Hana looked around. "H-how…?"

In a dark environment, a shadow of a human or humanoid figure of a man was quietly sitting on the floor. He couldn't be discerned because of the dark surroundings. The figure was in a lotus sitting position. After a while, he opened his eyes, it was sharp as a pointed blade, his gaze threatening even though it was his casual look.

"Hah. It has started."

He closed his eyes once more. Images of the world he once lived in flashed in his eyes.

Kill.

Kill.

Massacre.

It was how he survived.

Only the strong could live. Only those who had strong desire could survive.

A smirk emerged on his lips.

"It's time. This world has to see why I was called the Demon of Massacre."

He stood and started to walk overbearingly.

In another dark setting, a shadowy figure of a kid stretched out and yawned.

Her voice sounded sleepy. She yawned once more.

Her translucent skin was wavering ever so slowly.

She sat up and started doing what she needed to do.

The trio, Alpha, Miya and Sho came back to the camp after Sho informed them about gathering energy while in battle. Although it was not useful to senselessly intake impure energy, it would be helpful once Miya and Alpha were used to purifying energy while in battle.

"Alpha! You're safe! What happened here?" Ross hurriedly asked when he saw the three.

"You saw the flickering, right?" Alpha asked in return.

Ross became gloomy. "I have made a mistake of sending our people outside."

"It's not your fault. After what had happened here, everyone just wanted to get out. Not knowing that this is a safer place than outside at the moment. Maybe, I do have some fault for withholding the truth."

"It's not your fault. It's your contract that withheld the truth." Sho immediately interjected seeing the people's look on Alpha.
