"I'm sorry!!! I'm not looking at your character info anymore. I swear! Stop looking at me as if you want to murder me." Sho felt defeated with Gouki's glare at him. It felt like if he didn't explain he would die there and then. He only sighed in relief when Gouki finally went back to his cool expressionless face.
"I don't have time, I still need to check the shop." He muttered under his breath.
Honestly, he could only blame himself for provoking Gouki. Why did he have to try the skill on Gouki when he was the most dangerous out of the three?
Yet Sho couldn't really prevent himself. He was just freaking curious because the guy seemed to have it all. And he had to pay for his curiosity. He suffered two blows. One was his self-esteem bleeding profusely while the second was shivering from Gouki's deathly stare.
He felt little trauma from just experimenting his skill. He shouldn't really have wantonly used his skills on others… It felt like provoking a beast.
Hikari and Akihiko had a surprised look on their faces not really knowing what was going on in Sho's mind. Their attention was on something else…
"You can check our stats?" It was Akihiko who asked.
*What happened to your silent treatment for me?* Looking at the excited kid, Sho thought the kid was really just a kid. When something struck his curiosity, his eyes were shining so bright that they resembled a star.
Original Sho was actually the abnormal one who didn't act like a kid, maybe because he suffered too much. Or maybe, he was actually abnormal after taking over the eighteen year old Sho.
"Yeah. Brother Gouki's stats are quite amazing—" Sho once again raised his hands when Gouki suddenly stood up. "Forget I said anything!" He immediately followed up.
*Does this count as courting death? I'm just satisfying the kid's curiosity! Why are you so mad at me?!* He felt maltreated, still he was unable to say anything towards Gouki.
"Stop invading someone else's privacy. Not everyone is as lenient as me." Gouki expressionlessly said.
Although he acted like he wanted to kill Sho, he felt that Gouki didn't have any ill intention. It had an air of someone looking out at his impulsive sibling.
*Sibling? Where that idea came from. If Brother Gouki knows what I'm thinking, he probably would just end me. What a weird combination. Someone who wanted to recite the law on the train, who gave the impression of a law-abiding citizen now looks as though he could kill me… Is this how the world would come?*
"So, did you figure out how to use the Shop? It took us quite a while before we figured it out." Hikari naturally saved Sho seeing that Gouki wanted to grill the poor kid.
*Big sis!*
He was really thankful to this heroic lady.
He was about to make an excuse but changed his mind at once seeing how Gouki was looking at him attentively.
*Ah! I won't lie. I can't lie or I would die. Brother, why are you bullying me?! Is this how a side character would feel if a main character focused on them because they got on his bad side?*
"I still haven't tried. Still my skill told me that there's a shop offer. Did you check the Glitch shop offer?" As he said that the familiar female system voice echoed in his head.
"Ah, it's loading for me. Say it too. I don't know if you still have points, though this appeared to be a hidden feature? Well, my talent seems to find hidden features." He smiled sheepishly, he wanted to brag, however it suddenly sounded sarcastic in his mouth.
*Eh. I really have no talent for bragging.* He wondered if it was the original him or Sho who doesn't have any talent for bragging. But then, maybe both of them don't.
Sho didn't really brag because he was introverted. He was straightforward, and when he was saying something, he said it only if it's true. Sho has a reason for that, yet what about him?
Sho frowned as he saw an empty scene in his eyes. The only thing he could see was the magnifying glass.
Such a profound function… the system didn't lie. He could only really use the search function. But thinking about it, it was reasonable since it was a hidden shop. It was thanks to his skill that he found this… maybe even if he told everyone about this, no one would be able to buy anything unless they were lucky with searching.
However, he inevitably thought about the name of the shop. Glitch Shop Offer. Why was it named like that? Was it because the system's main feature is glitching? Even their skills were called glitch. What does glitch stand for?
So many questions, almost no answer available.
He could only sigh.
As he proceeded forward, he was collecting more and more questions.
Sho focused his attention in the shop. He had no time to dilly-dally. Since he immediately saw the search button. He casted his gaze to the magnifying glass with the intention of using it. Without even saying anything the search function was "clicked" leaving him awestruck. It was really awesome. Whoever made this must be genius among genius.
Whereas, it comes off as if it was created by God that the God's Army served. By being a God, what does that mean? Was it the same as what Sho thought of God? There are many Gods in Sho's memories, regardless only one thing was special about a God. They are unique beings with superpowers, making people hold them on the pedestal.
*Well, I really want to admire this more, but I don't have time. Search, language bundle. Okay, that should be it… hmmm...*
"27581 languages?! Are you kidding me? For only 10 God Points? Is this some sort of scam? It feels too good to be true!"
"W-what?" Hikari who was shocked at Sho's sudden blurt.
"Buy the Language Bundle on the Glitch Shop Offer." Sho said to Hikari.
He didn't explain further, he needed to check first before he could really explain.
He braced himself since gaining a lot of knowledge should be a pain in the head. He was expecting it to have a feeling of his experience when he used his Overview skill.
Sho was somehow shocked, amused and puzzled all at the same time. It conveyed the impression of as if he was downloading things on the internet like on a computer. He was gaining knowledge by the second and he didn't feel any headache at all. And the best part is that the process would continue even if he wanted to do other things.
*How I wish this is how my Overview skill works. But sadly, my skill function hurts like hell.*
He nodded solemnly after confirming that the language bundle really did have 27581 languages. "Just follow my lead, there's no time to explain every detail…" Then Sho gave clearer instructions to the other three of his discoveries before focusing again on his task.
He could only share his knowledge about Language Bundle for now since the system warned him that the items would be mostly unique. He could only refer for the Language Bundle since it has nine stocks available. Well, eight stocks, since he had bought one already.
Following what he learned, he tried to search for the other word given by his skill. To his glee, both the items were available and both were within his budget.
Since they were discounted, Rejuvenation was a skill for 50 God Points. It was an amazing passive skill that lets the user rejuvenate faster. Wounds, stamina and mana regeneration would be enhanced passively. Although he adamantly predicted the outcome right now, he knew passive skills were better since even without doing something, it was already activated. However the con would be it was harder to level since it would only gain experience if the skill was being useful. Even though the system warned him, he still bought the skill. It was unique afterall.
And then there was Soul Crusher, which was an item for 350 God Points. Although it was more expensive than the Language Bundle and Rejuvenation skill, it was also useful with hidden functions on it. The description on the item was vague, and there was even a warning to use it carefully. However, he still bought it because of one reason. It was a knife.
He thought about it while looking at the weapon.
What was he lacking right now?
An ability to protect himself.
All his skills were not useful in actual battle. He himself was actually a burden, even if he found it hard to swallow. He needed something to protect himself. And he trusted his skill. His skill led him to the weapon. And he felt that every piece of the puzzle fitted finely after buying the weapon Soul Crusher. He could just investigate its function later. For now, he was low on time.
After buying the item, he was left with 90 God Points.
"This is a weird shop…" Hikari murmured, making Sho wake up from his drifting mind.
"Yes. Too bad, the other things I tried to buy only have one stock. Meaning, if someone bought it, it cannot be shared. While the Language Bundle has nine stocks." He explained. "It seems that the sale is a hidden function. And only unusual items are there. And you need to find it yourself. If you don't know the item's name, then you could only guess randomly. Ah, wait, I still need to look at something."
He hurriedly excused himself after remembering something. He checked the normal shop to see what he could see there. Sho immediately gasped in admiration as his eyes were filled with countless items with different prices. It came across as being inside another world even though he knew his consciousness was still in the present. The feeling was like the present and the shop were overlapping with each other, making it breathtaking.
*Damn. If this is a game, it would really be worth playing. This feature exceeds any imagination at all! I really won't be able to think of this kind of feature!* Sho honestly admired it.
The shop has many items available. Each item was arranged categorically. It resembled a shop in game where one could buy potion, weapon, armor, skills and many more. Conversely, here, they are collectively available for him to see. He didn't need to go to NPC to buy them. Everything was available in the system.
He hurriedly cleared his mind as he quickly browsed at the shop. He deduced that the normal shop is definitely different from the Glitch Shop Offer. The normal shop has mass made items, skills, weapons and other things.
*Not enough time, I only have seven minutes left. I don't have anything I want to buy in the shop right now. Info about stat upgrade, please.*
*Hmm… so, the "game" wants everyone to focus on balance? Still, that's also weird. I mean, I have very high luck… but it seems I can't get a higher ranking if I just focus on one stat, or even if I just leave on a stat below 20.*
*Mmhm… tricky. Yet if I up all my stats and abandon my luck, I may not be lucky anymore. I might lose myself?* He thought sarcastically, self-joking. *Yeah, that would be weird. I mean, it's really my luck that let me be here. I need to always up my luck first. I'll think about it when the time comes.*
He nodded. *Wait… my luck is already 37. Can I still upgrade it? How many points do I need to use to upgrade it?*
Sho grimace. *Forty? I can only up my luck two times… I guess I'll up my luck to forty then up my other stats to ten. Then, when they are ten, I'll go back upgrading my luck to fifty, then up my other stats to twenty. That way, I'll maintain my luck.*
He immediately came to a decision.
*Allocate two stat points to my luck.*
*Yes, continue.*
*Hm? That's an unexpected surprise! What does Inferior Silver Rank mean? You didn't tell me about inferior rank earlier.*
~Beep!~
Sho could only smile wryly. The system kept asking him to reach Rank Tanzanite. It didn't even explain about Inferior Ranks…
*Nevermind. Okay. Show my character info.*
