Liliah continued to cry. 'Actually, I've been used. My own father even wanted me to die! 'I can't die; I need to keep living,' Liliah thought, wiping her tears.
Liliah heard a voice from downstairs.
Miad: "Sir, you are here; your wife is upstairs."
Liliah's eyes widened. She got up and sat on the bed. wiping her tears.
The door swung open unexpectedly. Dylan entered the room.
Dylan: "If you're hungry, just go down to eat. You may use all the daily necessities in this house." He said bluntly,
Dylan: "But for some items... you better not touch," he glared at her.
Liliah looked confused.
Liliah: "What kind of things can't I touch?" Is it because if I die, those items that I have touched will be considered unlucky?" She said this with tears streaming down her face.
Dylan seemed to be taken by surprise with her reply.
Dylan: "That's not what I meant," he said, looking away.
Liliah: "It doesn't matter; what's more important is that I'm going to die soon, right?" She said looking down.
Dylan: "What do you want?"
Liliah: "I want a divorce," she mumbled quitely.
Dylan: "What did you say? "Say that again!" he asked, coming closer to her furiously. and holding her shoulders harshly.
Liliah: "I WANT A DIVORCE!" she screamed.
Dylan removed his arms from her and stood straight.
Dylan: "Do you have anywhere to go after divorce?" he asked.
That question made Liliah silent. 'That's right, after divorce, where can I actually go? If I go home, my father will definitely beat me to death. Maybe to the mental hospital, but no, it's also a path to death.' Liliah's thoughts are disturbed by Dylan.
Dylan: "That's why you should be playing your role well as my wife; you will have enough food, clothes, and money." He was about to walk away but stopped when he heard Liliah laughing.
Liliah: "HAHA, that's right, I can die in peace here, and Mr. Matthew will at least buy me a decent burial gown," she said, laughing but with tears in her eyes.
Dylan turned to look at her and asked, "Why do I feel a little sympathy towards her?" Dylan thought.
Liliah: "Then, Mr. Matthew, good night," smiling at him.
Dylan left the room and turned to close the door, but stopped when he saw her changing her dress. Liliah stripped from her bridal gown without knowing Dylan was watching her.
'Her body is covered with bruises. What happened to her?' Dylan thought. Liliah soon noticed him.
Liliah: "Have you seen enough, Mr. Matthew?" she asked sadly.
Dylan: "Then you better get some rest." "You can call for maids' help if you need anything," he said awkwardly, and he left.
Liliah changed and plopped on the bed.
Knock, knock, knock!
Liliah: "Who is that?" She asked, making her way to open the door.
Maid: "Madam, sir asked me to bring you some food."
Liliah opened the door and let the maid in.
Liliah's eyes started to get watery again, seeing all the food.
Maid: "Madam, what happened?" The maid panicked and asked
Liliah: "Don't worry, you may leave," Liliah said, assuring the maid. The maid soon left, and Liliah closed the door.
Liliah sat on the bed and looked at all the food. 'This is the first time someone cares if I have food to eat at midnight,' she thought, remembering the past.
FLASHBACK
A plate of food prepared by Liliah was thrown on the floor.
Theo: "Look at what you have prepared! "Who would eat this at this hour?" He screamed at her.
Liliah: "I was just worried for you that you might be tired and wanted you to eat some nutrients." she said sobbing.
FALSHBACK ENDS
'In the past, Theo never cared about what I ate; he was only concerned about the taste of the food,' she thought, looking at the food in front of her.
