#Chapter7
He asked me to stab him but isn't killing someone a crime? At least that's what the Russian constitution says. But it's only meant for humans so I guess killing stars doesn't count.
After all, a mortal can't dictate what I can or can't do. I stood there like a dimwit with a knife in my hands. By that time that girl took out a huge axe from her pocket. My brain cells were falling apart even though I hadn't consumed any coke, I swear. Maybe Lict mixed something in the food and now I was seeing its effect. She swung her axe like it were some adult toy on which my mind had tattooed a /"What the fuck/" —Just a minute, physics—How can that thing come out of there?!
And boy, did she look strong. She could slice Lict into sushi and eat him raw—And he would like that!
/"What are you staring at, you simp?/" That male demigod said. Oh wow, so I'm a simp now? Great. Well, sorry for being new at something and not knowing what to do, sir.
/"What a fucking weakling,/" He sighed. Why was he disappointed in me being weak? If God wants me to be weak then Goddamn I will!
/"How is she weak? Just because she doesn't sound so arrogant like you?/"
Lict was pretty annoyed and he didn't hide that. And yeah Lict, actually, in my world, I am far more arrogant than him.
/"Lict,/" I said.
/"Milady, why do you think that you're weaker than the others?/"
But I never thought that? He said it! What the fuck?
/"Just because you're a girl? Even the heavens believe that woman is the most intelligent, strong, caring and beautiful creature that God has ever created!/"
Should I tell him that I didn't feel that? Something tells me I shouldn't because that'll just make things more awkward.
/"Melissa, go shut him up./" He ordered his star spirit and thank God he did. She swung her axe but Lict dodged it. How the hell was such a meek girl able to pick up something that looked like it weighed like three times of my weight so easily? What's her diet?
Jokes aside, she was fast and all Lict could do was dodge it. He didn't even get a chance to attack. All I was thinking was that if that thing hits him and he dies—Who's going to cook my food? I suddenly felt myself getting worried about such mundane things that I felt like a mortal myself.
I could see that he was getting tired, and finally, the moment came when he got hit by the axe and got injured. His hands were bleeding, just when she was about to blow another attack, he stopped the attack by grabbing the other end of the axe.
/"Tired? So weak. Just give up already. You're just wasting your time. I'm gonna gobble you down./"
How can you do that when he's so much bigger than you? You know what, at this point, I won't be surprised if she turns out to be an anaconda after all. As Lict was holding the axe, she kicked him in the stomach and he fell onto the ground. She raised her axe up high for her final bow and how majestic did she look! Lict looked like a speck of spit before her.
/"Hey hey! Seems like a party here, can we join?/" Called out a voice from behind. When I turned, I saw two more people. He was a middle—aged man who looked like he was in his forties, with a high school girl. Maybe they were another pair but how did they get into the blank space? Okay, so I guess many people could get in here at once. Is it what happens in double penetration?
/"Sorry to disturb but can we join you?/" Said the girl beside him. Why does everyone want to beat up Lict? I just stood there with a knife in my hand, praying that somebody comes to kill me too but Lict had grabbed the attention of every possible murderer. He tried me too but I am not doing it for I am a lady! Much above these scums.
/"This is getting annoying now. I'm done here. We're done here./" That man in the black suit said. Melissa pushed her axe back into her pocket and ran towards him. As she reached him, she turned towards me saying, /"We'll finish this some other time. Make sure that you people don't die till then. And take care of The hour of—I mean Lict for me, see ya, Ms Demigod./" Saying this she waved her hand just like Lict had done before. A huge pink square appeared before them and both of them were engulfed into it, leaving us behind.
What if I don't want to see her again? Do I have a choice? It wasn't the perfect time to be alone with my thoughts yet. We had a bigger problem here—The other duo seemed more dangerous.
Besides, Lict was in a horrible condition. He needed to be treated soon. He had a grave cut on his hand and blood had painted all his clothes. That poor outfit. I was busy staring at Lict when I heard a gunshot. I turned to look at what had happened and I saw that the man had shot his partner—The girl. She closed her eyes and held out her hands as if she was holding something, soon the air around her became violent and a sword appeared in each of her hands. Lict came in front of me /"Don't worry, Milady, I'll protect you./"
I mean, thanks, I guess? I didn't know what to answer. With two swords in her hands, she marched towards Lict. As she attacked him, he dodged them and ran in the opposite direction to make her move away from me. He had got cuts and wounds all over his body. Then, I realised, everyone had a weapon so why didn't Lict have one? Oh wait—They only get their weapons when they are severely wounded.
/"Stab me milady, and make it fatal./"
Oh, so that's why he asked me to stab him! But when that girl is hurting Lict, he's simply bleeding? Does that mean that it doesn't work on Lict?
No wait, maybe it's like they only don't get hurt from their master? Why hasn't he told me anything? He just came to fight without telling me a thing about how it works. Did he come here to get his ass kicked? Maybe he really does like pain.
Heck—I don't care. Whatever will be will be. And with this powerful thought in my mind, I casually ran. Ran with all my might towards Lict with the knife in my left hand.
I shouted his name and he turned towards me, I stabbed him, right in his heart. He held my shoulders to stay on his feet and pressed his forehead on mine,
/"Milady, call my name, give me orders and I will protect you,/"
That was heartbreaking. And nostalgia struck me hard like a matchstick, lighting up a spark on dead fumes of despair.
