Aelia saw a man in a long ruffled black hair and draped in a white robe promptly appeared before them.
"Lei, please be polite to our guest." the black hair man spoke calmly.
The man named Lei immediately let go of the dagger that pressed on Aelia neck. He further nodded to the long hair man in greeting and immediately walked out of the room.
"I apologize for the inconvenience, young lady." The man immediately nodded and apologized to Aelia for the man behavior and calmly sauntered towards the wooden table and sat down on the chair.
"Please take a seat." He spoke and gestured with his hand towards the chair across him.
Aelia gazed at him in perplexed and quietly walk towards the chair.
After she sat down, she immediately heard him introduced himself, "You can call me Emanuel."
"First of all, you're required to disclose your actual identity if you want to have a contract with us." Emanuel further stated and all of a sudden out of nowhere he place a piece of paper on the table.
Aelia was initially about to say her fake name when he suddenly interrupted her.
"Fear not, your identity are only disclose to me and my master." He uttered in a polite voice.
Aelia gazed down and contemplate for a while whether to reveals her real name or not.
However, when she recalled their profession she realised even if she didn't informed her name, they have the ability to investigate her.
"Aelia Lazares." She finally uttered in a clear voice, like the name does not belong to her.
Meanwhile, Emanuel who was dipping a quill in ink and began to write something on the paper suddenly halted his hand and stared at Aelia in surprised. Nonetheless, he quickly regained his composure and continued writing like he never heard or known her name.
He heard about the dignified and mysterious daughter of the Countess of Pierres constantly from the people of the town, particularly from the young nobles who usually came to drink in this tavern.
He perceived that she was the most beautiful and compassionate young lady in the town.
In fact countless of aristocrats, even from the capital had asked for her hand in marriage. Yet, no one has ever catch her eyes or attention.
Emanuel glanced at the hooded lady across him, although most of her face was covered by the hooded of the cloak, nevertheless he could discern her charming appearance.
Nonetheless, he would have never thought he would meet her here in this awful place for benevolent people like her.
"What is your instructions?" Emanuel asked her indiscriminately.
Aelia looks down in dazed, as she remember her initial plan to be here in the place. She had to entered the tavern because she was afraid of the people in the alley. And now that she's finally here in this tavern and unknowingly discovered the enigmatic mercenary guild, she should used it for her own advantage.
That is to find her birth parents.
However, she realised she didn't seem to know theirs name.
"Your father was a prince-"
Aelia distinctly recalled the last thing she heard him spoke in her dreams and perceived that when he said her father was a prince probably means her father is no longer a prince.
"I want your people to investigate everything about Emperor Elrod and the then Prince Xavier in details." Aelia firmly declared in a stoic voice.
"W-what?" Emanuel uttered and gaped at Aelia in astonishment.
Although, he had already surmised that she was here to investigate someone or perhaps kidnapped or something the nobles do, but he never thought she would want to investigate the current monarch of the Suran Empire and even more so the treacherous prince now known as The Dark Mage Xavier.
Nonetheless, he is used to the customers unexpected orders, therefore her ordered seems trivial to him than others and regained his composure.
"My lady, sending my people to the Suran Empire seems to be an arduous task. I surmise you yourself could knows it.Thus, I shall inform my master first about your instructions."
"You don't have to be concerned about the payment, I'll pay it according to the results of your investigations. Furthermore, half of the payment will be delivered to you tomorrow." Aelia remarked.
She further stared at him and added, "Very well, I guess our discussion ends here. Farewell Emanuel."
Aelia was about to stood up from her chair when all of a sudden Emanuel stop her.
"Wait."
"Is there anything else?" Aelia asked.
"Would you mind telling me how did you know about this guild?" Emanuel requested.
"Yes."
After saying that, she turned around and strode out of the room.
Why would she tell him? Is she stupid? Telling him means her fate is seal.
The instance she walked out of the room, a man draped in a black hooded cloak walked inside the room through the window.
Seeing him, Emanuel immediately stood up from his seat.
"Master."
Emanuel immediately bow down.
