Sunspear

Daeron Nymeros Martell

"I am confident this paint will not hurt them, I would not do something I thought could even remotely hurt them." Making a red mark on Rhaenys with the paint on her left foot I nod while turning to look at Nymeria who is lying perfectly still with her sensitive baby eyes shut.

"Put it on the other foot." She lifts Nymeria's right foot as I dip the brush in some water and then into some purple paint.

"How about-" I smear it on my wife's neck and jump back before she can react, her loud exclamation as she whips around with disbelief in her eyes brings great joy to me. "-I am going to go find Aegon." I quickly run for the door hearing a curse yelled out at me and both babies shouting their disproval of such loud noises next to their sensitive ears.

----

""Come on little man, your little Sisters are going to be picking the egg they want."" More like we are going to just set the remaining 'stone eggs' in between them and hope something eventually happens.

Balerion was noticeably interested when he somehow managed to climb through a window and noticed we had his 'brothers' eggs. I am a firm believer that dragons are both genders and can swap whenever they want for breeding purposes. I have no idea if it's a dominant thing that makes some act more 'feminine' like Syrax or if that is just preference of the dragon. But I do know that so far Balerion and 'Sunfyre' both seem male and Albion might be girlish like Syrax... which might have to do with Balerion bullying the white dragon.

...on so many levels that is just wrong but also entertaining.

"Kepa." Aegon rubs his hand over the stubble on my jaw as he eyes me curiously, the short hairs on my face taking far more of his attention than the idea of 'Sisters'.

He has not made the connection yet that they are family to him, he just knows his Mother lost a lot of weight and is confused. The big belly that used to kick him is gone and he keeps patting her stomach whenever he gets the chance.

"Aegon." I respond as he keeps rubbing my face, a small smile appears when he hears his name.

"Eggie." I stop in my tracks hearing the name he has taken to referring to himself with.

"Aegon." I look my Son in his eyes and slowly pronounce his name which causes a wider smile to appear on his face.

"Eggie." I sigh and start walking again while fighting off a chuckle knowing this name will likely stick now that both him and Visenya have been repeating it so much.

I think Egg is not an uncommon nickname for a boy named Aegon, I am fine with it even if it is a bit funny and ruins the image of the 'Conqueror'.

----

""This is Rhaenys and this is Nymeria, red is for Rhaenys and purple is for Nymeria." I am certain they are identical twins and I dread the future where they use it to their advantage to manipulate people.

""Red."" Aegon holds onto the foot of his Sister and seems far more amused with the paint than he is with the actual person the paint is upon.

"Rhaenys." Rhaenyra corrects him even as she is watchful of me while she clutches the paintbrush defensively as if it's a blade to fight me off with.

"Red." Aegon once more commits to the thing he knows which is the color and his Mother is left to sigh with a loving gaze directed at our boy.

My eyes travel over my little family with no small amount of happiness and pride swelling inside of me at the sight. But I put it aside for now as I bring out the two dragon eggs which seems to grab everyone's attention. The two babies who can do no more than make nonsensical noise and lay around confused about where they are even stop as if they turned into statues.

""Which one do you think Rhaenys wants?"" I ask my Son as I hold up both eggs and he looks at the both of them with great interest.

"They sleep in the same cradle, it won't really matter." Rhaenyra puts in her own two cents but I ignore her and hold the eggs out for my Son who is making a great effort of looking at two eggs.

"Red." He slaps at the cream and gold one before turning back to the foot he was playing with. "Red." I nod in approval, I definitely did not rig the game by putting the cream one closer to him since I want the golden one to go to Rhaenys.

Rhaenys had Meraxes who was a golden-eyed and pale dragon so I think it's a good fit, we do not know much about Meraxes other than she loved to fly and was the second biggest dragon during the conquest.

It's a shame she died and ended up made into weapons... I hope this little dragon that will hatch won't hold a grudge against me for doing that. If anything the cream and gold dragon should be happy that the bones of its hopefully future namesake didn't go to waste.

Pentos

Daemon Targaryen

----

"Well, this is certainly not what I expected would be the outcome of our little trip." I shake my head looking at my 'wife' or at least who I plan to marry.

The mad red bitch certainly has the looks I seek out in a wife and is interesting to be around, to say the least... but she is also a damn fanatic. But I already committed to this plan and Pentos has been claimed, Her support and by extension her Red God's support and all of the Fire Gods' fanatics' support certainly is welcome.

Daemon Targaryen the Prince of Pentos and soon to be over Myr and Tyrosh to repay them for trying to kill me and steal my dragon. There are others who will feel my wrath as well, Qohor and even some 'dried up corpses' from Qarth as well that need a visit from me and my mount. But all in due time, I will pay each of them a visit and show them what the price is of messing with the dragon.

"Well I do not claim to know your thoughts, that might even be beyond even the most devout of R'hllor's followers using the Lord's light as guidance." I snort at her poor attempt at a jab at me and instead let it roll off me as I look around at all the gifts brought to me as the new Prince of this Free City.

"You said there would be visitors soon?" I lock eyes with Melisandre as she slowly nods with a small smile.

"A Khal with his Khalasar of twenty thousand or so men will come demanding tribute." Shaking my head I can't help but want to laugh at the thought of a Horse Lord daring to demand anything of a dragon.

Does this Khal not know his people kept themselves low and out of the way of the Dragon Lords and only dared to stand up and destroy the grass Kingdoms once the Doom hit?

Regardless if he knows or not he will learn exactly why his people were nothing on the west of the Bone Mountains until after the fall of Valyria. I will be giving all of the Horse Lords a harsh reminder that they will not soon forget when I take to the skies where their horses can not reach. If it was not for how pathetic a butchering of the Dothraki would be I might would even be excited at the thought... but it seems more bothersome than fulfilling.

Revenge on the other hand... the sweet taste of lashing out and destroying those who tried at my life is a temptress just out of my reach. I could 'stand and grab the temptress' by simply jumping onto my mount and flying off to give Fire and Blood to those who wronged me. But I am tempted to carve out a little piece of Essos for myself now that things are in motion for me to do so with little opposition.

My niece's Husband broke the Triarchy and weakened them while keeping Lys for himself. Braavos is just happy that I let their representative know that I would outlaw slavery of all forms. Only Volantis stands as a threat in Essos against any expansion I did, the rest are nothing... even less than nothing if I find support from Dorne.

I am even sure Melisandre has been hinting at that being something assured as if she saw it in the flames. The way she acted when she saw Daeron and his dragon at Dragonstone hinted at something, she knows something about his plans and they likely have to do with what I am now tangled in.

"I will deal with the Khal and secure my city before reaching out to Dorne." The slight reaction before a happy nod from Melisandre further confirms my suspicion and I will keep watch on her even closer than I planned to.

Which was already going to be damn close, I do not intend to let her leave my side to scheme with others. If she watches the flames I will be there to hear what she sees from her own mouth as she sees it or she will lose the little 'trust' I have given her. She certainly has stomped on it already with how she did not even hint at what I was in for when I came here.

But even with that being the case, it's not like I want to complain about the results.

I certainly enjoy my current standing, still a Prince but if I started calling myself King no one would say anything about it. I have ample reason and motivation to grow my new little 'princedom' and there is not much anyone could do except for the Dornish. Lucky for me I am family with the Dornish, not that I have said or thought that before but now it is very convenient for them to share blood with me.

I am sure I can get support or at least have peace with the Dornish as I work toward my revenge and maybe even growing my acquired lands. I will gather sell swords with all the new gifts and gold I have gained and then march South toward Myr. If I do not have Dorne's support then I will also have to get sell sails to help me make it to Tyrosh after that but it's all very much within reach.

Just knowing how much it would stress Viserys and send Otto up the wall is enough to make me want to follow through on this. I don't even need the glory of being a Conqueror or pretty titles and lands, knowing that I would be ruining my Brother's next few months... well it's a pleasant thought.
