"Ella....wakeup now.." mum said in a calm voice, "it's almost your school time"... Ella was still in bed, she loves sleeping a lot..she stretched her body on the bed lackadaisically as she answered"yes mum...".
She got in to the bath to freshen up but then the thoughts of yesterday, kept coming to her head. All what Sani said,came to her mind like a flash. She stood under the shower , letting the water fall on her, without reacting to it..she only realised she was deep in thought when her mum called her again reminding her that she might be late...it was quarter to 8 already.
She rushed to get dressed and her phone vibrated..it was Sanibella.."meet me today at the lawn behind the administrative block after Jay's class.. I'd be waiting"..Ella hissed and left her room..she met mum down stairs..had some few loaves of toasted bread then left for school.She didn't get to meet up with a quick car today cause she was a few minutes late already..so she had to walk for a while before seeing one..
She arrived school after the first bell had gone..Miss Jay just stared at her as she walked in..besides coming late for Jay's classes was typical of her..."meet me in my office after this Ella!" Miss Jay said sternly.
They had two more classes and Jay left for her office.Ella followed her closely.
"I've noticed you're always late for my classes and your performance has dropped as well" Miss Jay said.."I don't know what is it you do home that makes you come late or perform this bad,, but whatever it is, stop doing it..it's ruining your future for Christ's sake..you're one of my top students and you know the competition into WSP will begin soon, and you've always dreamt of partaking in this, am I right?.." Ella nodded then miss Jay continued"good!!.. but I'm sorry, if you continue this way, you might lose it!!..so think about this!..you may go now"..miss Jay added, with no sense of humour in her voice..she was serious...Ella thanked her and left..
As she walked pass classes, she thought of all that Miss Jay had said and it kept on clashing with what Sani told her last night...she was really confused rn..//she wanted both//..as these thoughts kept reflecting in her head...she heard her name from a distance...it was Ethan..."sup yo?..what did Jay say to you" he said as he came towards her..."she didn't say anything serious"Ella said, trying to hide what Jay told her earlier.."you know Miss Jay right .she can be silly at times...urhmm where you off to?"..Ella added trying to change the topic of discussion.."urh...actually" Ethan said, scratching the back of his head" I wanted to go have lunch with Tony and Fred..but then I saw you here,so branched..you mind joining us?".... Ella was farmished--she always was anyways 😂, she was at the verge of accepting then she remembered her appointment with Sanibella.."urhumm.." she said clearing her throat" actually im not really hungry now..and I'd want to check out something in the library"she lied..."why not just go ahead"... Ethan looked at her just to make sure she was sure about this..besides, the fact that Ella refused lunch was strange to him😂.."ohokay..."he said jovially.."later then".. Ella made sure he had left with the guys already before going to the back lawn..
She spotted Sanibella and walked up to her.."you're few minutes late"..Sani said." urhm..I had something to do in Jay's office"Ella said apologetically..."I'm sorry".. Sani just ignored and walked away from Ella then said"about yesterday, so what do you say huh? joining or not?".. Ella thought for a while..begging her stars she doesn't make a bad decision..."I don't think I'm ready for this" she said alas and turned to leave...
"we both know you want this, you want all the fame, popularity and free life, you wanna experience the outside world and how this town is..chose wisely bbygirl"..Ella stood startled..she was moved by these words.. after all she wanted all these..Ella turned to Sani and after a while..."yes!.. I'd join"..
Sani smiled and bade her farewell.
