Definitions Guide:
Inhibitor (Green): Inhibitor is the most important thing in this book to understand. It is the sanity mineral of Pagnia and comes in three layers: Green. Red. Pink. Inhibitor that is green is healthy. Its radiation affects the sanity of the residents of the planet, but it also keeps them peaceful. Without green, there is no peace. Warnos who lived near non-green inhibitor areas were often affected and after centuries it started to change them into the beings called waryes. Green inhibitor is also gathered and sold for convenience of taking care of children who are affected but not to as large as a degree.
Inhibitor (Red): Red keeps inhabitants safe, but their degree of what is peaceful changes. Furries and Sleeks are usually the result of living near red. Red frees the power of its inhabitants making them stronger, but they do like to battle and fight more.
Inhibitor (Pink): At first stripping green inhibitor for its value was the reasoning, but living for centuries around red and pink inhibitor radiation with no green results in Pinks. Beings who love war, crave war, and do anything for war. The Pink Kingdom (Known also as the Waryes Kingdom) is built right next to pink inhibitor so they get the best dose of their radiation.
Inhibitor is not an instant cure to the changes in anyone. Inhibitor radiation has changed the genetics of everyone over the course of long periods of time. However, being kept near strong pink inhibitor very closely can change inhabitants quickly with their current genes having to undergo the trauma. It's not recommended as this change often results in death.
warno- In the broadest sense before the changes in their society, these were the residents who lived on Pagnia who need the inhibitor's radiation to survive. Without the radiation, they go insane and can lose memories. After the changes in society, using this word is a sign of offense to others.
waryes and warno- these are the general terms like human. At first they are used in a very limited way in the book, with one being the individuals who say yes to war or no to war, or denoting the kingdom they are from. Often by the time they are Sleeks, they are considered waryes.
Official Status: To pinpoint the official generation is tough since it depends on the genetic exposure of a mother/father plus the outer exposure to the environment. These are the most general rules for each.
Rings- Further in the book, no genetic or little genetic traits to a waryes. They look human and have rings on their tails like a lemur, usually brightly colored in either orange, blue, or red with matching hair on their heads.
Furries- Furries are close to Rings. There is some waryes in them due to their genetics. They have furry tails, but it's solid silver as is the hair on their head. They still tend to be peaceful and have a sense of humor.
Sleeks- Sleeks no longer have thick, furry tails, they are smooth and silver now. The first six generations of a Sleek are often more like Furries in personality but they will fight if they have to.
Pinks- Pinks march on to their given command, almost like zombies. Their tails are pink and bumpy and they have pink eyes. The first two to four pinks in a generation will be more like Sleeks (depending on the genes from their mother/father and the environmental space around them.) By the time the third generation comes around, they are thirsty for blood and war. If the waryes are at war, it's Pinks that are carrying out the battles. Pinks only live about 100 years compared to Rings, Furries and Sleeks who live between 2000 to 2500 years.
Guard/Guardian: The warno soldiers that protects females. It is always denoted with capitals at the beginning. If it is simply guard or guardian, it's the general use of the term and does not refer specifically to the revered soldiers.
Dens: Children are not as greatly affected by inhibitor, so they tend to be wilder. Often the parents and an Ancient live together in an area to help control the children as a whole. Many children and families become so close, they start to feel like members of each other's family.
Ancient- Ancients are the eldest of warnos, usually 2000 years old or more. Towards the end of their life, they are often revered with great respect and are either left alone to live out the rest of their days, stay near the Castle and consult with the current King, or use their experiences in life to help out in the Dens.
Chronicles- A term for diary. It is a powerful diary that warnos write usually every day of their lives in. When so many Chronicles are filled, or the user dies, the Chronicle is taken to a place called Literature Waterfalls where their ancestor's adventures join theirs. There are so many books, the whole internal structure of the place was made simply by the stacking of the books.
