After they entered the woods, Myalis looked at the others beside her and she sighed since she sensed many different types of creatures within the area they were in and she knew they had to be careful.
Myalis took out her sword as they walked and Yuna glanced at her before looking around them, then she tapped Myalis on her shoulder and the girl looked back at her and then smiled.
"There are different types of creatures within this place, you have to be careful, some are really tough," She said and Yuna nodded as Ziza's claws grew longer and Myalis saw.
Myalis smiled at Ziza then patted her on her shoulder and she grinned as Ivan looked at them and a gentle smile appeared on his face, seeing how they were with each other.
"Myalis, you are a beast tamer right?" Ivan asked.
"Yeah, I am," She responded.
"Just how strong are you?" He asked and she came to a halt, then looked back at him.
"Why are you asking?" She asked.
"Students in the academy are mumbling, they have seen many strong beasts with other beast tamers before, stronger than Ziza's type, but none were beasts that had human form, some are even wondering how you did it, no beast folk has ever gone to the academy before, they walk around the streets of some places but..." He responded and she smiled at him.
"I understand they find it weird, but it's not the first time they saw a cat girl so, my answer is, I am not strong enough, I just happened to save her and we formed a contract, that's all and I don't care what they mumble, we are all here only to get stronger and to achieve our goals, aren't we?" She asked.
"Yeah, we are, I just had to ask," He responded and she chuckled then patted him on his shoulder.
'It's fine, you guys can ask anything, I will answer depending on the question," She said as they kept on moving and Ivan smiled.
As they walked through the woods, Myalis looked at the time and saw that it was getting late and the area that they were in had begun getting foggy.
"What the hell?" Yuna asked as Myalis grabbed onto all three of them and placed them together and she stood before them.
"We have to stay together, we can hardly see in the fog so, stick together, who knows what the fog might bring us," Myalis said and they nodded.
Myalis closed her eyes and focused on her surroundings, in the hope of sensing if anything was heading towards them and Ziza listened closely since she had a very sharp hearing.
'Why is the fog here of all places? There has to be something here?' Yuna wondered.
"There has to be something here," Myalis mumbled when she felt the ground beneath her feet barely vibrating and a smile appeared on her face.
"Something is heading our way," Ziza said.
"She is right, something is here with us and it seems heavy," Myalis added.
Myalis looked at the fog around them, knowing that in order to properly get to see what they were fighting, they had to get out of the fog or get rid of it, but didn't know exactly where whatever was with them at the time was.
"Ziza, can you find out where it is?" Myalis asked and the girl nodded, then jumped up in the air and landed on a tall tree, just outside of the fog.
Ziza scanned the surrounding area carefully and her eyes narrowed when she saw a part of the fog moving, whatever was moving with it, had a tail, it seemed as though it was blending in with the fog.
Ziza jumped back into the fog where the others were, she touched Myalis on her shoulder and the girl looked in her direction.
"Did you find anything?" Myalis asked.
"Yeah, but, it's weird, it seemed as though whatever it was, it was blending in with the fog, it had a long tail as well and it's closing in on you guys," She responded and Myalis smiled.
"Thank you, Ziza," She said.
"You are welcome," She replied.
'I don't think it's just blending in with the fog, for some reason, I think it's causing the fog,' Myalis thought.
"What if it's not just blending in?" Ivan asked quietly and Myalis scoffed.
"What? It could be possible," Ivan said.
"Yeah, I know that, it's what I was thinking as well, but what kind of creature has that kind of ability?" She asked.
"Not many," Yuna responded.
"It's just beside you, master," Ziza said before grabbing onto Myalis's arm and pulling her out of the way as the creature's tail barely passed Myalis.
Myalis noticed that the creature's tail had a sharp edge and her eyes narrowed, wondering what it could be.
"Thanks, Ziza, I have an idea," Myalis said and Ziza smiled at her before releasing her arm.
"What kind of idea?" Yuna asked.
"One to just get it to show itself even if it's just for a minute, Ziza, can you take those two out of here?" Myalis asked and Ziza's brows furrowed.
"Yes, why?" She asked and Myalis grinned.
"Because I want to try something and to do that I need to be in the middle and you guys can't be here, I don't want to hurt anyone, don't worry, I will be fine," She responded and Ziza sighed.
'Just what is this girl? What have I gotten myself into?' Ziza thought with a pout before exhaling deeply.
"All right, that much I can do," Ziza said as she held onto the other two and they looked at Myalis, wondering what she was planning to do.
"Be careful, we are only doing this because you want us to," Yuna said and Myalis smiled.
"Yes, yes, I know, now go on," She replied, Yuna exhaled deeply and Ziza jumped out of the fog with them.
They grabbed onto a tall tree branch and stood up on it while looking down at the fog and they saw that the creature was getting closer to Myalis.
Myalis took a deep breath and a circle of flames began forming around her feet and a flaming chain appeared in her right hand.
She spun the chain around and the fog began clearing up, then she blew a fire breath and the creature roared then the fog disappeared.
The others left staring at Myalis and a smirk appeared on her face as she stared at the creature standing before her eyes with nothing but fire in its eyes.
