Chapter 19 - First tamed beast

The other students looked at Myalis, wondering what she will bring forward and she sighed, took a deep breath, then closed her eyes, after which, a red magical circle appeared beneath her feet.

She heard a roar and a smile appeared on her face as she relaxed her body, and a beast from another dimension began approaching her, and she could tell from its footsteps that it was no ordinary creature and wondered if she could tame it or not.

Everyone heard the growling of the beasts and the teacher's eyes narrowed as he looked at Myalis and the magical circle changed its color to blue.

"Step back kids," He said and the others students listened to him and moved away from Myalis.

'What exactly is this creature? The way it walks is gentle, light on its feet,' Myalis thought, as the creature emerged beside her from within the magical circle, her eyes opened, then the fog around the creature cleared.

Myalis's eyes widened as she stared at the creature in front of her, as did the others.

It was tall, long, and slender, with a long tail with hair on the edge, hair across its back, large wings, and a slim face with two long and pointed, striped horns.

The creature was black mixed the dark blue along with light blue and had a few polka dots of white on its wings.

Myalis heard the beast growl at her and prepared to retreat when she recalled the lesson her father had taught her about dealing with bigger, stronger creatures: you must look them in the eyes, and even if you are afraid of them, you must not show it.

"That's a Linsaan, how did she bring forth one of those?" The teacher mumbled and some of the students looked at him then returned their attention to Myalis as the creature raised its wings and roared at her, the others flinched as she lowered her head, then opened her eyes, and it lowered its wings and began approaching her.

Myalis looked it in the eyes as it growled, and the teacher kept a close eye on things in case something went wrong.

The creature got so close to Myalis that she could feel it breathing and her eyes began glowing blue, a marking appeared in both of them and the same marking appeared in the creature's eyes as its body glowed slightly purple.

"She is forming a contract with it, that's going to drain the energy from her body, are you sure you want to go through with this?" The teacher asked and Myalis nodded as a magical circle appeared under the creature's feet and she extended her hand to touch the creature.

It was about to pull away, but then her eyes glowed brighter and a smile appeared on her face and it left staring at her then it bowed its head and Myalis placed her hand against its forehead, and the marking beneath its feet glowed and the very same marking appeared on her forehead and Myalis smiled.

The marking from her eyes, as well as the ones on the creature's forehead and beneath it, vanished, and it raised its head and looked at Myalis.

"I'll give you a name when I get home later; you're amazing," She patted it on the head, and it bowed its head as the students and teacher approached, and the creature growled at them, and they came to an abrupt halt.

"It's okay, you can go, I will summon you if I need you later on," She said then the creature disappeared and Myalis looked at the teacher.

"You did well for your first time, do you know that you just tamed a rare beast?" He asked.

"No, I didn't know that," She responded and he smiled.

"They don't usually come forward, they are quite rare here, not many can tame them, well done," He said and she smiled.

"Thank you," She replied.

"You are welcome, you can stay and watch the other students as well or you can return to class, also are you feeling okay?" He asked.

"Yes, I am fine, thank you," She responded then went and stood with the others since she decided to stay and watch the other students since she wouldn't have anything to do if she returned to class.

Myalis noticed that many of them had already tamed beasts, and for some, it was the first time, but they all did well, and she smiled, feeling relieved that she had a talent like beast taming.

After they finished showing their beasts, they returned to class for a lunch break and while she was eating, a few of the students approached her in the cafeteria and sat with her and she smiled at them then they introduced themselves to her and since they were in the same class for learning more about beast taming, they wanted to be friends with her.

Seeing that they all wanted to get stronger in their own category, Myalis agreed to be friends with them and they all ate together, once they were finished, they all went to their next classes which were mostly separated and Myalis's was normal in comparison to the other classes and that she was more than thankful for since she was able to learn many different things at once.

Myalis had no complaints about her first day at her academy, but little did she know that things were about to get a lot more difficult for her since things were not as good as they may seem to be.

Once the day at the academy was over, Myalis went into the woods not far from the academy since she wanted to train in a bit of a harsher environment and try taming other creatures as well.

While walking in the woods, she heard a scream and her eyes widened as she turned around and saw dust rising into the air and the trees shaking slightly.

"Watch out, girl!" Someone yelled, and she noticed a girl running toward her.

"What exactly is going on here?" Myalis mumbled as a massive purple python appeared behind the girl and her eyes widened.

"You've got to be kidding!" She exclaimed because they were both speeding towards her.
