Two days had already passed after the incident, and Augustya had isolated himself for two nights.
His trauma, phobia, and agony never left him behind, no matter how hard he tried to escape from that. The room was dark, as was his devoid mind.
Someone entered his room, frowned to see the boy in misery. "Why are you sulky today?" Julie said it in a shrill voice. "You're supposed to help me with dishes. Jelly bean, come out of the bed."
There were many ways of handling trauma and PTSD; however, some were extreme and some were just therapeutic. There is a difference between mood swings and depression. Although mood changes last for a day or two, depression lasts for months and years. Vidyut told the rest that he was just suffering from migraines and shock rather than depression. If things get more serious, they should seek help from a psychiatrist.
After Julie's warning, he got out of bed and did his daily routine.
Still, he felt unalive and lethargic, not wanting to leave the bed.
Therefore, he went to the kitchen and started washing the dirty dishes manually. Julie had been insisting on buying a new dishwasher with foam and a swirling mechanism. Because of a hard budget, she swallowed this wish.
"I must say you are really good with washing dishes, August."
She continued in a hushed voice," I heard what happened at the mall. It must be hard for you to face your sister and defeat her. "
Suddenly, Augustya bowl slipped on the sink.
*Thud*
He picked it up and started washing it again.
"August's bad times will pass soon." Her motivation went in vain, as the boy completely ignored it.
As he was finishing washing dishes, Julie forced him and brought him to the rooftop. Julie Master told her the best way to pursue someone's heart was to talk to them. Well, the food could do the same too, but Augustya's table manners didn't allow him to talk while eating.
The crescent moon shone down, and the stars were glittering and shimmering along with it. The rest were busy repairing the spaceship.
"Tell me boy, what is bothering you: the Pandoras, Zekrom, or the unsolved issue of nuclear fission?" Julie asked, as she had taken a big bite of the sandwich. Her carving is getting massive, as she had a big bowl of cheese corn and now a sandwich.
Augustya bit his lips and gazed upon the sky with desperation.
"Lynna suggested I should go back to Igrius. To my home, my family, but.." He stopped in the middle of the sentence. "But I am afraid things will not be as normal. "
He had only one wish for the past few months, and that was to return home. Now this wish had been going further away.
"If you don't want to go, then don't. It's not like the world is going to be hit by meteorite showers.
Augustya glared at her and was not surprised by Julie's dry humour.
"Seeing the circumstances, it's better that I leave." Augusrya said in a concerned voice.
"See, kid, if you want to leave, you are obligated. But you don't have to become a saint for our happiness. We do sinful, immoral, and vicious stuff for survival."
Julie exclaimed, took a big bite of the sandwich. "Tasty!"
"Hmm! Aren't you going to abort the child despite having money to raise it? Don't you feel any remorse about that?"
"I haven't come to any decisions yet." She rubbed her belly and put on a gentle smile.
"The life I've been through, I don't want to give it to my child. I am afraid the kid would suffer discrimination and have to fight for everything. What if my love is not enough for the kid?"
"This is utter nonsense; you are going to be a good mother. You are always unbiased towards us. Strict, but always talk rationally and support everything."
"Overthinking just damages your rationality. I am sure the baby will be brave and strong like you."
"Then why are you doing the same, August? Why are you thinking of a future that hasn't happened yet? Because of some nonsense, you drop your self-esteem and confidence."
Julie continued," You are smart, mature, and respectful; don't let your anxiety and fear control you. Besides, you are not a hero to us, or never will be. "
Julie left him. Augustya had spent all night evaluating and analysing the situation.
...…...
Things get normal as the spaceship is finally restored. It looked brand new.
"Boys, we did it." Famara rejoiced and wiped the sweat from his forehead.
After 2 days of sleepless nights, they finally restored the junk. Even though they were smelling like rotten eggs and had large dark circles on their eyes. Vidyut just collapsed after working with this old junk. Who would have thought that after coming back, he had to work like a slave? Famra caught him and put him on his strong shoulders.
"You guys are blood suckers. No, I changed parts of the window installation but made it automatic. I even installed an anti-tracker and a high-frequency device. Even, installed two ballistics devices." Vidyut complained in a low voice as he was snuggling on Famara's shoulders.
"Despite not studying, I painted the whole window and even helped you guys like a servant." Zekrom replied back and scorned Vidyut.
Moreover, Famara gave more effort than others, but he dared to brag. These two were already fighting over who had done most of the work. He had a proud look on his face to see his spaceship in good condition.
Suddenly, they heard a screeching sound in the speaker. "May I have your attention, please? I want you to hold a group meeting with us. So come to the living room now." Julie announced it.
Everyone quickly assembled in the living room and grew impatient by the unexpected accommodation. Thankfully, food was served to the table, which made them less irritated. They sat in the living room with puzzled eyes.
"Now everyone is here. I want to announce something." She said it cheerfully and clasped her hands. "Famara, can you hold my hands?" He grabbed her hands gently and looked straight into her eyes.
"Repeat after me."
The rest were confused, and so was the father of the baby. Three of them were disgusted with the live PDA and averted their eyes.
"I am going to be a father!" Both of them said it in unison. She withdrew her hands and returned to her normal position. Julie had a dimple on her cheek as she said those words aloud.
Famara's eyes popped up and covered his mouth with shock. The rest had the same expression: confusion and happiness. The boy hadn't expected the woman changed her mind for greater good.
"Are you joking, Julie?" The unexpected announcement leaves Zekrom perplexed.
"I am not. I decided to keep the baby and take 1 million sols from the government.
I know this is a very hard decision, but I want to raise myself."
"We raise together." Famra said to her.
From the very beginning, Famara Kelvis was determined to support her. No matter what decision she would take.
Augustya stood up from his chair, wished her well, and gave her a cute box.
"I bought it for you. Now I want to announce it to you guys."
He stood in the middle of everyone and gave them a stern look. "Firstly, congratulations once again. I am sure you two will be great parents." He took a deep breath and calmed himself from the future outcomes.
"I am leaving tomorrow. I talked with Lynna and decided to go back home."
Everyone had mixed reactions to the announcements. Some had their jaws dropped, and others rejoiced and saden at the same time.
