"I told you I would find you, Will Wisdom…my bloodstained wolf," said Fenrisúlfr.
"Yeah, I remember," I hollered back.
In my mind's eye, I recalled the blow to my back—a blade of air cutting across flesh and digging into muscle and sinew. Instinctively, I knew that this attack had been the culprit for cursing me with lycanthropy.
"You're going to regret coming after me," I promised.
I recalled the threats of the great white wolf and how it promised that it would hound me all the days of my existence.
"I can bite back now," I added.
The white-haired wolf boy heard my taunt and smiled. He had every right to look smug too, because he'd kicked my ass in the last redo, which got so bad that Liara had to take my life so that I could return for this rematch.
"Don't look so angry, Will Wisdom." Fenrisúlfr crossed the threshold of the treasure room. "I'm not here to kill you…"
